If you had Owens and Moss together on a fantasy team, you'd be in hog heaven. On a real life team, however, I give it two months before the "I'm not getting enough catches" garbage starts.

If Philly makes this deal, then they might Ewing Theory their way to a Super Bowl.

This rumor just won't die. This all started with a Skip Bayless column from about a month ago saying that Oakland would be the perfect fit for Owens and his attititude. It was rehashed earlier this week on Cold Pizza when Bayless talked about it with another sports writer.

There is no substance to this. Its the NFL dead season and people are searching for things to talk about.

To Trade Porter the Raiders would have to absorb the entire signing bonus they gave him earlier this year when they resigned him. That would increase Porter's 2005 cap hit from 2.4 million to 7 mil.

On top of that the Raiders would have to account for TO's salary (3.25 mil). Leading to a cap hit for trading Porter for Owens of 7.95 million (7+3.25-2.4).

The Raiders are already tight against the cap and will either have to either restructure a bunch of contract, cut some players or resign Woodson just to sign their draft picks.

Through in the facts that Porter and Ownes have similer skill sets and Porter is 4 years younger and how does this rumor get any press?

It is a rumor, Porter's agent said so. There is no way Oakland is stupid enough to make this deal. Porter is the perfect #2 to Moss who can also be the #1 if Moss is hurt or is triple teamed. Curry is a great #3 and should be this years Stokley. There is no need to rock the boat and bring in Owens to make things worse.

Although, as a train wreck, I would love to se Owens and Moss bitch just to see how long it would take before Kerry Collins goes insane.

Don't know how many wins they'd get if this trade happens, but the Raiders would easily become the most entertaining football team on the planet. Hell, bring in Ricky Williams and you can make a reality show out of the Oakland Raiders. I smell ratings!

This has so much potential trainwreck value that I'd be disappointed if this didn't happen. It's a great oppotunity to gather some of the NFL's best players/scumbags on one team. You'd be dying to root against them.
