It only works on AIM, but what you do is you IM this certain screen name and information is sent back to you instantly. For example, if you want to know what the current scores are you type "mlb scores". If you want to know who won the Yankees game yesterday you can type "yankees 4/18/02". If you want to know the Philles record against the Expos this year you can type "phillies vs. expos this year". If you want to know the standings in the nl west you type "nl west standings". If you want to know how many stolen bases Delino deshields has you can type "delino deshields sb". If you want to know what his stats for the last 7 games are then you can type "delino deshields last 7 games". If you want to know who has more rbi, Sammy Sosa or Barry Bonds you type "compare sammy sosa and barry bonds by rbi". You can even ask a player height, weight, birthday, uniform number. As well as a teams home record, away record, winning streak, name of their ballpark, and a lot more.
I find this a lot easier than having to look up stats on the internet and much much easier than watching Sportscenter or Baseball Tonight and just waiting for the stats. Although I still watch to see the highlights, but if you just want to know some stats right away, this is much easier.
By the way, i got this from the show The Screen Savers on Tech TV. Promote this thread! | | squiz

A friend of mine doesn't like baseball but has been using it for basketball stats. Who knows... maybe they'll enhance the system some in the near future... but i'm definitely not complaining. | TheBucsFan
