Lou Piniella needs to get out of there and quick. I don't think he even cares anymore.
I'm saying though - how do you tag Randy Johnson for 10 runs in 3 innings, have an 8-run lead and still manage to lose? The Empire ends up putting a 13-spot in the 8th inning. THIRTEEN RUNS.

Anyway, Shatner is sitting on a stool doing a spoken-word rendition of "The Real Slim Shady." One of the very disgruntled Star Trek actors (I think it was George Takei) asks, "How did he manage to do a spoken-word version of a RAP song?"
Enraptured, the fanboy gas-being says, "He FOUND a way!"

Plus he gave up two inherited runners, so in the time that it took him to get two outs, he let eleven men cross the plate. Was Lou in a coma during the eighth inning? Did all his guys in the pen break their arms? Someone, please explain. | whatever

Gas being: "That's Melllvar, with three "L"'s!" Takei: (dryly sarcastic) "I've been to these conventions before, I *know* how to spell Mellvar."
Excellent episode!
I still treasure the 22-0 rout the Tribe laid on the Yankees last year. Ah, the sweet memories. | jfkfc

Actually, they put a 13-spot up in the second inning against Tampa on April 18th (sports.yahoo.com) also. I would have gladly traded that inning for a non-shit pitching performance by Johnson. I mean, seeing this Yankee team hit like this is a lot of fun to watch, but 8H, 3HR, 1BB, and 7ER against Tampa is a cause for concern. The Yankees STILL have not won a game in which they have scored 3 runs or less. That will probably not translate into championship #27. RJ is 0-2 against TAMPA this year, and right now in my opinion, the most consistant starter this season has been Mr Wang... | StaggerLee

Except that they lost two out of three and have a losing record against them this year. The Yankees suck. | BOSsportsfan34
