Its nice to see a really positive story about one of our troops:

Ali is nine-years-old and has a congenital heart defect. It could kill him before he reaches the age of 11. A lot of help has already come for this boy, but it is anticipated that his hospital stay could last several weeks. He needs money to cover those expenses.
News 10NBC talked with the mother of the soldier who found Ali. Penny Cutler says “ He was out on a routine patrol and they ran into a father with his son… and the father was looking for help.” Cutler says he son told her you could immediately tell there was something wrong with Ali because he was very small and had a bluish color.”
News 10NBC learned Ali’s story is not that unique. The executive director of the Ronald McDonald House says in 15 years it has hosted 20 foreign families. Families looking for miracles that only American medicine can provide. Judie Griffin says the cost can be tremendous. “Wondering where their next meal is going to come from, having to pay for a motel room and all of that taking money away from the fact that they can not earn it.”
News 10NBC learned help is coming for Ali. Sergeant Cutler e-mailed everyone he could think of. A surgeon in Florida responded offering his services for free. Major league sports teams have donated money but News 10NBC also learned there are $150,000 of other expenses. A friend of the Cutler family hopes she can help. Tiffany Geisler-Nuessle is the co-owner of two Arthur Murray Dance Studios. She has planned a black tie event for July to raise money for Ali.
There are several ways you can help Ali. You can purchase a ticket to the black tie event and silent auction sponsored by the Arthur Murray Dance Studios. It’s July 17th at the Riverside Clarion Hotel. For more information call 266-2635. You can also send money directly to the Operation Save Ali Fund.
