Sure I can still get my Jayson Starks fix if I want to read 'Useless Information', but the column that I really like by him 'Rumblings and Grumblings' is now PPV only as well. I'm not totally complaining yet as my main man Len Pasquarelli is still free of charge. I guess what I'm getting at is is there a good alternative to ESPN.com for "insider" type of news without paying for it or going to a 411 type of site? | Promote this thread! | | Packman V2

| #3 Posted on 28.5.05 0032.12 Reposted on: 28.5.12 0035.26 | Both CNNSI and ESPN have been annoying me for some time with this, and it's getting far worse on both, particularly the latter.
I fully understand the need for such a service - Disney has to make money off the venture, not just support it - and the likely cost of producing and hosting that content boggles my wallet's mind. Still, most of the content restricted to IN in the past was premium enough that subscribers shouldn't feel they're wasting the money, and with all the adverts spread across the other slowly-loading pages, it's not like non-paying users weren't being inundated with opportunities for Bristol to make some cash. Now, I'll pop on and see four articles I want to read; none are free, but all would have been six months ago. I sometimes ask myself why I bother anymore.
I know the subscription is cheap, but add this to every other little thing we all have to have now and my wallet's mind flat-out asplodes.
Per the question, I've seen nothing else on the level of Disney, and it annoys me to no end. | Jaguar

If you are really into sports and spend a lot of time online I say it's worth the price but I do understand the backlash against it. WWW.profootballtalk.com is a great site for all NFL rumors and stories and it's 100% free. | JayJayDean

I couldn't give a shit about the Magazine, I just want the website content - but they won't deliver to me. | Whitebacon
