I agree that the finish was lame. I liked the concept -- Cena does more and more extreme things to JBL until he pulls out some crazy thing to hit him with, and JBL quits. I just think it could have been done with something more impressive than an obviously-very-light fake smokestack. As it was, it kind of left me with an anticlimactic feeling, like "Huh? THAT was the blowoff to all this talk about JBL never quitting?" It felt kind of random that the smokestack was the thing that made him quit, after he'd already been thrown face-first into a TV and beaten with the door of his own limousine.

But the smoke stack was SYMBOLIC! He took all those hits to the limo and the fancy tv equipment but he was afraid of the smoke stack from the workin man's rig! Seriously, while that ending seemed a little out of no where I thought the match itself was excellent and well done by both men.

I'd say that Eddie's bladejob was worse, but Cena bled for a longer time (just about the entire 20 minute match, whereas Eddie's bladejob came towards the end of the match) so I'd call it a toss-up. It was quite the visual in the end, though, to see Cena raise both World Title belts with his face covered in blood.

Weird thing is, just for the heck of it, I watched JBL/Guerrero from last year before the PPV and the EXACT same thing happened during Cena/JBL. Cena/Eddie throws JBL over the announce table, JBL grabs a chair and blasts Cena/Eddie with it then Cena/Eddie bleeds like hell covering their entire upper body in blood. They bled about the same i'd say but Eddie stained the ring more. Overall it was a great brawl and much better then Eddie/JBL last year because they have similar brawling styles. I'm tellin ya, it was like if i was playin a hardcore match in a Samckdown video game. Slammin people on limos, into TV sets, into doors, into glass, into gas barrels that explode on impact, it was amazing. It had everything.

Overall a good show, Booker/Angle, Rey/Eddie, in the Tag match the crowd were pumped as hell. Its been 6 YEARS since Minneapolis got a PPV and damn it they should get more. They were awesome tonight.

And who was that guy taking a wiz in the shower in the background when Book was lookin for Angle?

I didnít see the show, but from reading various recaps of it I have to ask this: how does Hardcore Holly get as much of a pop from the live crowd as he does? Is it just because heís often one of the first recognizable babyfaces to come out at any show (whether heís working Velocity duty or just curtain-jerking a PPV), and the crowd is just happy to see the first babyface superstar of the evening? Even in dark match reports, people are always commenting on how surprised they are by how strong the initial crowd response is to this guy when he comes out.

He was a Tough Enough trainer and got a lot of TV time, especially in the first season, so people might know him because of that.

Not sure, but maybe people just see him as a common working man and they relate to that. The last two SmackDown shows I went to (Great American Bash and a house show back in November) he got great pops, and neither were curtain jerkers. He just happens to have a connection with the fans. It's the same reason why Tommy Dreamer always got big pops despite never seeing the light of day outside of Sunday Night Heat.

I just wish that he's put more people over. He had a pinfall victory of 1/2 of the tag team champions (which I can understand was used to set up last night's match). But Charlie Haas ended up taking the pinfall last night.

I have this on DVD and the male trainers were Al Snow and Tazz. I think he was in Season 3, maybe Season 2 aswell.
