If they had any balls they'd go live with it. I think that would be a smart way to counteract the effect of the show being on a weekend night now. More people will watch if they haven't know for four days what was going to be happening(or how bad it will be).
They run house shows on the weekends anyway. I can't imagine that being a big change for the TV people | BigSteve

That might make for a better show, but you still have the problem that Cubs brought up about the TV crew. It would cost a lot of money to transport all of the TV equipment twice a week rather than once a week. Plus, it costs more to run a live show because of the cost of satelite hookups or something like that. | BOSsportsfan34

I am hoping though that the brand split stays, if only for the fact of not seeing guys like Tomko or Heidenreich(sp?) on TV twice a week. | CTX

With there being a PPV every 2 or 3 weeks thesedays they're working a lot of weekends anyway, so they could work Friday straight through to Monday with almost the exact same amount of travel and time off as they have now. | thecubsfan

I'm not sure where you're getting Wednesday - Friday; Velocity and Heat don't involve people leaving Stamford, if that's what you mean.
Right now, they're working Monday and Tuesday, and occasionally Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. | mikebuk

Going LIVE with SD! might be a cool idea because why watch a taped SD! on Friday night(or Saturday) if there is a live house show event in your area instead that same night. Currently, WWE runs live tapings for RAW/Heat on Mondays & SD!/Velocity on Tuesdays. Wednesday & Thursday are travel days currently or days off. Fridays-Sunday are house shows days. Now having SD! air on Fridays only promises that SD! will not air in it's regular time during most of the year because of local sports coverage in different cities. Here in Boston, Red Sox games are on UPN Friday nights during spring/summer and when Enterprise and whatever was on afterwards they those shows on Saturday nights instead of Friday. One can assume my local UPN will air SD! in Saturday night spot as well, thus screwing up my viewing of COPS. Other parts of country will have the same problem since they have baseball, hockey, etc that will make SD! air on different times. Ratings, and viewership will be all screwed up. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
