| #1 Posted on 18.5.05 1044.04 Reposted on: 18.5.12 1044.13 | Great episode, as usual. I have a bad feeling about Lem for some reason. He's got a right to be pissed, as Vic has basically always favored Shane over him, and Lem's pretty much being ignored.
The lone cop car was downright creepy, and Aceveda's reactions to finding the bodies, as well as the cop parade as the bodies were taken away from the scene, were awesome. Plus Dutch and Claudette being lead detectives on the case.
Next week we get 90 minutes (!) and it looks like somebody is up shit's creek. Can't wait.
Possible spoiler for those who haven't read some of the show news lately:

I guess Glenn Close isn't renewing her 1 year contract, so she's out at the end of the season. What this means for plotlines, I'm not sure. |

Solid show once again. This buildup to the ultimate Antoine/Vic showdown is driving me crazy.
I hope that next week the show gets back to the Connie/Dutch storyline.

| #3 Posted on 18.5.05 1321.28 Reposted on: 18.5.12 1326.48 | I'm actually starting to get a vibe on Army. They're playing him so low-key, that it's starting to feel like he's playing some big role in how this turns out. My feeling now is that he's on Antoine's payroll, which would make his "accidental" shooting of Antoine's right-hand man seem a bit less "accidental".
I love the way they're playing Lem's character & spotlighting his role as the conscious of the Strike Team. In my opinion, his character has emerged as the most complex & interesting of the Strike Team (aside from Vic of course).
Setting up next week as an hour & half of Chiklis/Close/Anderson in the interrogation with everyone else running around trying to cover their ass, has me really looking forward to that show. The potential for those 3 actors interacting for 90 minutes is very exciting.
I'm happy that they're making up for skipping last week with some bonus stuff next week, but your spoiler definitely put a damper on my feelings for where they go with this season into next Roy. I'm curious what direction they end up taking...

I agree that the scene with the empty cruiser on the street was spooky. Simple but really effective. When I saw the previews 2 weeks ago for this show with officers going missing/getting killed I wondered if it would go along the same lines as the end of season 1 with "Two Days of Blood" and "Circles" where anger towards the police escalated into a full on riot. It certainly still could come to that at some point.
The tension between Claudette and Rawling that thawed when they were both looking after the little girl in the hospital seems to be coming back after Rawling wanted the detectives to announce they had a suspect for the murders as a distraction to the media. That relationship could quickly blow up if Claudette feels pushed aside while Rawling and Vic interrogate Mitchell, who everyone knows is the real #1 suspect.
Funniest bit was Claudette telling the nutty homeless guy she only had a "level 2 clearance" and leaving the room when she and Dutch were talking to him. | The Yak

I also really liked Roger, the homeless guy. Dutch is the man for actually figuring out what the hell he was talking about. The Shield has always been really good at creating solid characters, even if they only grace our screen for a few minutes. Roger is right up there.
Evil Dutch was awesome. "We are gonna throw that fat ass of yours in a cage..." Good Acevada was a nice change of pace from what we've been seeing as well.
Another potential spoiler...

I read somewhere that Anthony Anderson signed a 10-episode deal. This is the 10th episode of the season. |
