Opening tag match - either Hassan and especially Daivari have improved their selling ability, or Benjamin/Jericho made them look better than they are.

Benoit/Tajiri - a couple of nice kicks, Benoit has done much better in recent weeks. Not a bad use of Coach, and Bishoff's banning the letters ECW is a sure way to get the sheep chanting, I hope it helps the buyrate.

Pillow/Vis - this went on long, but Vis is carrying the ball they're letting him run with. First, who knew he could act. Now, who knew he can sing, too. Move over American Idol winner Reuben Studdard, there's a bigger man with a voice. Even though they gave him a lot of time, he filled it well enough by keeping it moving. Sure, this is the same angle Sexual Chocolate tried, but Mark Henry couldn't pull it off nearly as well as this. Stealing food from fans is perversely amusing. Lillian is the hottest Diva on TV now that Molly's gone. Who will stop Vis? Maybe Rosey - nah. Kane - nah. I vote for William Regal to prevent the fair maiden honor from being besmirched by the predator.

Masterlock challenge - the poor jobber didn't even get his name mentioned. Stevie deserves more ring time.

Orton appearance/and Vince's strut - does this guarantee Taker moves to Raw or Orton goes to SD!. If Taker moves, then Kane might have to move too.

Hurricane/Rosey/Legs vs. Simon/Maven - another really nice dropkick by Maven, and Simon sure draws heat, but is it Xpac heat?

Flair/Cpt Charisma - not bad, but not the best work either of them ever did. This at least gives Batista an excuse to get in the ring in a tag match where he's best. Although the BatistaBomb of Tomko is an awesome visual. And backstage Batista's Wooo tribute to Ric was on the Lita level of bad acting.

Speaking of Lita, I am looking forward to the Why Lita Why signs, more stumbling over lines, and of course the possibility of JR calling her a Jezebel...

Edge's backstage sell of the choke when Kane threatened him was great facial expressions - he turned three shades of purple.

CRZ, what exactly were you begging us not to say?

I could see the Edge / Lita on screen thing coming from last week. WWE have nothing to lose putting them together, they get the crowd's ire anyway !

Lita is still the best Diva. Mnd you, I can't blame Matt Hardy for his comment on what he thought seeing Lita and Edge's lip lock.

Maybe have the match ME a Raw for the title. Of course, that would mean building up Christian with some wins, which apparently isn't in the anyone's playbook, so I can see where the flaw in my logic is.
Youre surprised to see the WWEs inability to push a smaller, blonde-haired, loudmouthed Canadian who nonetheless can play the crowd like a fiddle with his promo work and can work a solid match? Or that they would job such a wrestler out to Ric Flair? Ive said it once, Ill say it again: Christian is evolving into the second coming of Chris Jericho.

First, they went Batista/Christian a few weeks back on RAW from the UK, so the fans have seen it before.
I don't go with Christian as Jericho though. I'd go back a bit and say if Christian were to float at the same level, he would be a heel Tito Santana. Should Christian somehow get to work with someone that could spark a memorable feud, he could be Tully Blanchard.

I'd say that Christian is more like Headshrinker Samu.

Nah...Christian is the one and only Captain Charisma. Like someone said, he can play the crowd on his hand. He is a lot like Jericho...an awesome heel Jericho, that is. Speaking of Jericho, if they turn him heel, he has to do the ARROGANT COVER~ in every match, without fail. But I digress - Christian needs to win, or at least avoid having his ass handed to him to be credible. I mean, being killed by Batista puts Christian on the same level as all other heels on Raw. And he needs to be higher than that if the general public is gonna buy him as a serious contender. As of now, Christian has no major wins to warrant a title shot of any kind, much less the main event. We know he has the ability and the promo skills, but he's got to be allowed to showcase those skills.
As for Christian haters (you know, not part of the Peepulation), I've got one last thing...
"For all the peeps, and the fools
Say it loud, Christian Rules."

Have fun.

We've seen HHH/Batista before, but it hasn't stopped them from running it on 2 more PPV's, despite Batista already having a clean pin on HHH. You could build up Christian/Batista enough to get fans to buy into it, provided Christian gets to look credible.

St Louis provided ECW a sellout when they were here for a WRESTLPALOOZA and TV taping for TNN years back. Its a STRONG wrestling town.

Was I the only one who really enjoyed the "She may need an ICU if she gets into that bed with Vis" line JR spouted?

Stevie on Raw, means of course, Stevie is ready to return to HEAT.

Personally, and this is just me, but it looked like Lita felt much more comfortable clinging to Edge than she EVER looked walking around with Matt. Not that it gave me a good feeling or anything, I still felt an "aw shit, that's just wrong" in the pit of my belly.

Who gave Lawler the black eye?

Sorry, didnt see Masters much, I tend to FF through the Masterlock Challenge. Then again, he did look pretty swift avoiding Stevie when he was getting out of the ring. They guy MIGHT have a bit of athletic ability.

It was just odd hearing the way Jim Ross was referring to Lita at the end of the show. Because...well you know Netcop's old saying? "Shoot comments that aren't supposed to be shoot comments."

It was pretty much meant to be a shoot comment.

All those comments were pretty much meant to be shoot comments. That's the whole point of the angle, so they can use shoot situations and comments for heat (which they're unable to do with work situations and comments, plus this is much easier than actually thinking up a good storyline - see Jericho cribbing his last twenty off-TV interviews for his skit.)

Well WWE has certainly never shied (shyed?) away of airing people's dirty laundry on TV and making angles out of them. Matt Hardy worked for them for quite some time during the peak of the Attitude era, so he should know this by now. It doesn't make it any less stupid and sad to me though. Especially considering the whole Kane/Lita/Matt Hardy thing was one of the stupidest, lamest angles of all time. Are we supposed to forget that Kane forced Lita to have sex with him and impregnated her? Or how he forced her to marry him? Or how he injured her boyfriend out of commission.

Pretty much. Similar to how were supposed to forget that:

- HHH was the blue-blood whod curtsy on his way to the ring.
- JBL was a beer-swilling redneck.
- Angle was pro-abstinence.
- John Cena used to hide behind Bull Buchanan.
- Katie Vick ever happened.

Yeah, but isn't all of that worth forgetting if we get to hear JR go off like he did at the end of Raw this week. "She's a married damn woman!" "That Harlot!" "Is that the kind of man Edge is -- the kind that want's to break up a marriage!?!"

That was classic, and part of the reason why I think JR is still the best commentator in the business. Maybe fifteen years ago when he was calling Flair-Funk he was a better wrestling commentator, but right now he's an excellent Sports Entertainment announcer.
