I found the northeastern cult favorite Moxie at a BEVMO. I remembered inhaling the stuff when I'd visit my grandparents in Maine. I can't believe I used to like that stuff.

My standard reply is to direct people to Galco's (sodapopstop.com), but BevMo is good if you're in one of the states that has them. (I am not. Frowny face) BevMo will also unmercilessly spam you if you're too lazy to unsubscribe - more personal experience talking here

I see they have two entries under the category of Birch Beer.

Doesn't sound promising. Anyone ever tried it?

The absolute worst soda I ever tried, by the way, was this stuff my uncle brought back from a business trip in northern Quebec. It's called Spruce Beer. It's actually made from spruce needles or spruce bark or something, and, I shit you not, really does taste like carbonated turpentine. Just fucking awful, but apparently the locals up there just love the stuff.

I had Apple Slice when I was in the States 15 years ago and I still crave it. I don't think they make it anymore though.
