Perfect booking so far, next week, edge over Kane, to set up Edge/Batista.

Edge Batista go a solid 15 the following week, with edge losing to a Batista bomb.

Post match HHH with a huge beatdown, pedigree, sledge, chairshot, completely demolishing Batista.

Edge after recovering, grabs mikem uses his Money in the bank title shot RIGHT NOW

Match starts, goes for pin, 3 count.

HHH is furious, Edge is champ. setting up a long term, non title fued with HHH and Batista.

And Edge is a total lame duck champion. I'd have Batista beat Edge then have HHH and Edge beat the ever loving crap out of Batista. The next week, Edge is all set to exercise his Money In The Bank clause when he gets drafted to Smackdown and screwed yet again.

You know, Edge wouldn't be screwed if he goes to Smackdown. The contact is good until Wrestlemania 22, right? So what's to stop Edge from just announcing that he'll be challenging for the RAW title at WM22?

My girlfriend asks "why is Edge in the tournement if he has that briefcase deal already?"

I say "So, when he wins, he can beat Batista in the head with a brick until he is out cold. Get the DQ, and then say 'I want my match' and take the belt without any problems.

Seems as how I would do it, if I was THE Edge.

I like that scenario, except for one tweak: you have the inevitable Lita turning on Kane scenario next week in the tourney finals. Then you do the Batista beating Edge, HHH interferes, rematch clause, title win, etc. Then you can still have Bad Blood headlined by a non-title HIAC, and Edge defends against Kane or someone else.

The only thing that scenario is missing (and I may have mentioned this in another thread last week, can't recall): They seriously need to bring back Matt Hardy to milk this for all its worth. Screw the theory that "only the Internet cares about this angle" because that's clearly not true. WWE has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to exploit this on a national stage.

Actually, my thinking is "what's to stop him from selling the contract to someone if he moves shows?" If he gets drafted, maybe HHH makes him an "offer he can't refuse" and buys the Money in the Bank match then uses it for HITC. "Hey, you're going to Smackdown, you can't use it. Take this money, I'll take your match ... and maybe since SummerSlam is an interpromotional card, me and Flair just might have your back should you end up facing John Cena for THAT title."

What's funny is that people have been fantasy-booking this scenario (Edge uses his contract right after Batista is tired after a match) since Edge won the money-in-the-bank match, yet it hasn't happened yet. :)

They need to hold that off for a long time. It needs to happen on a PPV near the end of the year after they stop mentioning the clause every five minutes.

This thread is a fine example of why I squash fantasy booking threads on this board. (I notice it's always the Canadians who can't figure this out.)

Hey, we figured it out long ago!! Sure, it took us a year or so, but we eventually got it all figured out! And there are lots of Americans in the still-running SWF (pardon the cheap shill).

You're just jealous 'cause the NBA MVP is Canadian! That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

Watching the Hardy / Edge payoff match in Bad Blood would be something worth buying the PPV for... I love stiff punches :)
