And I can understand that to an extent. Still, it pisses me off that Trish (and Lita, and everyone else) always seems to get the important victory over Molly
Ahh, but you're forgetting what seems to be the newest WWF rule. When there is a number one contender match like this it's usually between two people feuding. The one who wins, as a "reward" has to wait until the end of the month for a title shot. THe one who losses, as a "punishment" gets a title shot THE NEXT SHOW. I never understood that if they lose the number one contender match they get a title shot before the person who won the number on contender. ANYWAY, I think you might very well see Molly get a title shot against Jazz before Backlash, win the title, then have Trish vs. Molly for the title at the ppv, after all, they are the two feuding right now.
Overall, I was not that impressed by Raw, I liked Eddy and Regal's segments, but their match was only alright at best for me. It's just hard for me to get into a match with Regal and Spike in it even if Eddie and RVD are the most exciting wrestlers on Raw.
Undertaker was pretty good again tonight.
Great stuff by Heyman, despite Lita doing her best to ruin it.
Other than that I'm not real impressed. I have thought Raw was better the past two weeks but I think this is a show that Smackdown could beat out this week.
Of course that is if they decide to finally use the best active wrestler in the WWF, Lance Storm. Also, I heard the new talent being brought up should start debuting this week, if it's Shannon Moore, eehhh, if it's Mysterio, Orton, or Knoble i'll be pretty interested. | TheBucsFan

Molly rocks but her hair is just to ragged. I don't mind the new color, but she needs to brush it before she goes on camera. I just thought of a cool idea. Trish wins the title, then Ivory and Molly each feud with her on their respective shows, finally teaming up on a PPV to beat her, then start feuding with each other.
Eddy/Regal should be a semipermanent tag team. Regal is the powerman on the mat and Eddy is great at transitioning from the mat to the air. Who doesn't want to see them fight Chuckabilly???? | odessasteps

What reminders did JR have written on his hand like a high school crib sheet for the HHH interview?

Actually, it appears that Spike has no idea how to co-operate with Regal. Two weeks ago he nearly broke his own neck fucking up a headlock takedown, and last night he was lucky to walk out of there after landing improperly on the half-nelson suplex. Like I mentioned before, it was really refreshing to see Eddie and Regal show Heyman's Legion of Indie Sleaze what wrestling is all about. And for Eddie to get the win with a *proper* frog splash in what amounted to a homecoming (both to WWF TV and Texas) was really great. That statement is absurd. RVD has been involved in the best matches on RAW week in and week out. If anything "Paul Heyman's sleeze" is the people Regal has had deceant matches with.

Are you kidding me...the reason that Spike has a job is because he makes big guys look good. The man can *TAKE* a beating like nobody else. There are plenty of 150lbs pound guys out there, but most would be crippled by now taking the moves from men 2 to 3 times their size week in and week out. Spike may not be the most talented worker, but he's a good stunt man, and wrestling needs that.

| #35 Posted on 16.4.02 1514.31 Reposted on: 16.4.09 1523.56 | I didn't care for the overall show nearly as much as last week, but it had it's good points.
The bad, after the too long opening interview (though Flair trying to tone himself down to start was nice), was mostly in an overload of the lower card guys that made the Raw Brand draft seem so weak. I'm not much of a fan of Crash, Jackie, Stasiak, Big Show, Dreamer and a few others they sent out (seemingly one after the other), so there were times that I was losing interest pretty swiftly. They mostly masked that last week, which is what I was impressed with, so I guess it'll be on a week-by-week basis as to how they pair people up. Having to listen to HHH go on didn't help things, either. His promo was all the boredom of a pointless 20-minute interview compacted into however long he went on and on for.
I was glad to see Raven, Richards and even Dreamer get worked into the Hardcore scene. I'm just not sure that was the best way to do it. The crowd response to Buh Buh after the switches seemed a lot smaller than his reception on the way in. The ref's count on Raven's pin was pretty weird.
Doing something with Booker was a major point for me. Well, I guess this is something. Booker and Goldust can't last long as a team, especially since there's no reason to be a team at all. Before they break-up, though, I'm throwing out "Black Gold" as the anticipated team name for them. Perhaps, if they're really feeling it, they'll even go for Black Gold & Texas T. G'night everybody!
Stasiak's "Planet Stasiak" had to be intentionally bad. They're just trying to really hammer home that, on his own, Stasiak has no idea what he's doing and is a complete goof. It's no accident that Big Show squashed Perfect last week and Stasiak this week - next week (if not on Heat?), the two will team up to jump Show and they'll go for the Perfect Mentor thing with Stasiak and Hennig. I don't know why they're running with the Stasiak-as-Perfect angle that didn't make much sense and wasn't much good back in WCW, but we'll see where it goes and at least it gives Hennig something to do. I anticipate many "Stasiak tries to throw a ball 100 yards and fails" type vignettes in the coming weeks.
What I did like, and liked a lot - Matt vs. Brock. Matt got his shots in but not too much to hurt Brock's unstoppable vibe. And when Lesnar struck back, that was really something. I was waiting for him to tear the entrance set down on top of the Hardyz. I don't know how they'll do the match at Backlash, but it should be interesting one way or another.
More than that, Edd()/Regal vs. RVD/Spike and the accompanying Regal interview was really cool. I loved that whole segment. Edd() and Regal were all "Let's pretend we're still in WCW and do our awesome in-ring character stuff" and RVD was all crazy flip guy and Spike was all Ow My Spine and the whole thing was great. Regal got to slip in the angry Steve Regal stalking and punching in the ring, and he and Guerrero had all his nasty streak things back. I almost wish there was a reason for them to team up again on Raw. RVD's toss into a dropkick at the end was really neat, too. That's two weeks in a row now where RVD/Guerrero have been involved in the best match of the night/week/what have you. I hope they keep it up, it's made for good TV. | shea

Van Dam's strikes looked outright comical compared to Eddie's and Regal's. Lovetaps at best. But at least he can bump properly...then there's Spike. At one point, Spike was alleged to have been a decent mat wrestler. That was like 1998. 3 years and dozens of concussions later, Spike's job is to fall. Not to job, I mean literally to fall. Look at his offense: punches that make Sean Stasiak giggle crossbody (falling on an opponent) missle dropkick (falling feetfirst) top rope double stomp (see above) battering ram headbutts (J. Y. D.) "dudley dog" (requires the "victim" to lift and rotate his body weight...half the time you can't tell if it's reversed or it's supposed to have hit because the motions are so similar) Ever wonder why Spike disappears from time to time? Because he is constantly injured. How does he get injured? Taking bumps the wrong way. That half nelson suplex looked brutal because Regal literally had to do the move by himself. Spike didn't cooperate at all and didn't tuck his head on the landing. If you wanna see stuntmen, go watch Matrats or better yet the Fall Guy. I prefer to see credible performers who don't expose the biz with their shoddy loosey goosey bingo hall crap. There are plenty of small guys out there who can bump properly (about everyone in Mexico, plenty of US indy juniors). However none of them are boys with Paul Heyman (except Super Crazy...maybe...). Hence we get to watch a scrubby english teacher try to out-cripple Jeff Hardy. Hooray for killing the suspension of disbelief. | Jaguar

| #39 Posted on 16.4.02 1543.27 Reposted on: 16.4.09 1551.40 | OK, as an official Wienerville women's division mark, here's my review of RAW:
Trish and Molly was so-so. The crowd didn't seem too into it unfortunately (except when Trish came out--Molly got ZERO reception), and *they* were the ones chanting "We want puppies", not Lawler. Unlike ekedolphin though I am very glad Trish won and will hopefully she will be winning the title back finally. I do agree though that after that will be the perfect time to form some kind of women's stable to give Trish the major beat down and challenge. AT LEAST they need to do another team up like they did with Jazz and Ivory, but have it last longer than 1 week. As much as I like Trish and the job she's been doing, I really think the division needs that kind of spice right now before things start getting too stale. It would also be the right time to add a new competitor, hopefully someone similar to Jazz.
So we'll see what happens; hopefully they will do this right and move the division along for more fan interest to build. As far as Lita, I personally think she looked a lot better last night. I did notice she was a bit more "thick," but her face was a lot more tolerable than it usually looks. But ditto on Jackie looking like the Joker- more like a transvestite Joker. It's kind of weird though. The night before on Heat I thought she was looking pretty darn good in her first match with Crash, even though I typically don't like her. One night later she was nasty. Strange.
Did anyone notice that Terri finally covered up her mid-section and thus looked about 10 times better? Maybe internet posts work after all.
