Schilling has a knack for running his mouth without thinking, but does he really think that Pinella ordered his pitchers to throw back at Red Sox batters? Maybe, maybe not. You just don't dis on Lou though.

Geez, and here I thought we were talking about Lou Merloni, who, evidently is from Framingham.

Half of me says, "Here goes Schilling, running off at the mouth again," reminding me why I don't like the guy all that much (dating back to Philly when he liked to talk bad about ex-teammates.) The other half says, "Well, it IS Lou Pinella we're talking about, not the reincarnated Jim Leyland. I wouldn't put it past him."

All of me says, "This is outstanding theatre, and distracting us from the fact that the Orioles are leading the division right now."

Umm, weren't the Oriols leading the division this time last year too?

Oh, I'm not saying it means anything, just pointing it out for the hell of it. Didn't think the Nats stay in first would last long, either.
