What would the NBA playoffs be without Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal and Phil Jackson as the center of attention?
The details hadn't been finalized Monday, but Bryant is being sought by TNT to serve as a studio analyst this week alongside Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith. His words are sure to be closely watched as TNT will broadcast the Miami Heat's next two games.

Well, they always get SOMEBODY not in the playoffs to join them, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they're going for the "biggest" name out there. Didn't ABC have a player in the studio on Sunday? Isn't it sad that I can't even remember who it was?
On another tangent, I have to say Flip Saunders has been....barely registering for me as a commentator.

Jalen Rose.
I doubt they will touch on any tough subjects but I expect Chuck to make a few comments to him. Should be interesting at least. | ekedolphin

I didn't watch Jalen Rose on ABC, but he's far from lively. I did, however, see Scottie Pippen on ESPN2 (NBA 2 Night, perhaps?) and as much as I love him, he nearly put me to sleep. Kobe seems to fall into this unlively mold as well.
Then again, maybe I'm way off base and they're just looking for people that know the game really well. I just feel like that they can get someone who can speak knowledgeably about the game and be entertaining at the same time.

Was LeBron busy? Or Ron Artest? Or (since he never plays anyway), Paul Shirley? Click Here (nba.com)
Despite the fact that Kobe is a douchebag, I'd still take him over Magic Johnson returning for more playoff commentary. What a travesty.
Hey, my 3600th post! Cool!
