Batista vs. HHH: No way H is going to job out clean at Backlash. He will in the cell but not before that. I think there will be a definite DQ ending which the E figures will be fine as the HBK/Hogan match will headline and send the fans home happy.
HBK/Hogan vs Muslims of Truth: Unless HBK is going to turn this will headline and there's no way Hogan isn't going to go over, probably in a way that frustrates smarks everywhere. I'd rather see a turn and have Shawn lay out Hogan with SCM leaving Hassan to take the pin.
Edge vs. Beniot: I'd liek to see Beniot win. However I don't think it would make sense, either in terms of the storyline or who management is big on right now.
Shelton vs. Jericho: I kind of hope Jericho doesn't resign. I've always been a big fan but he's been going nowhere for ages now and his act is beyond stale. He doesn't seem motivated to freshen things up either. Benjamin has a very bright future and he needs to go over Y2J, if for no other reason than the fact that everyone else has.
Viscera vs Kane: I'm hoping Vis goes over. Why? Kane's character is such a mess that I really could not care less about him. And Lita certainly isn't doing him any favours. They may as well do a double turn here because that's how it will end up anyway if this feud drags out beyond the ppv.
Tag Team whatever: I can't believe they expect to sell this ppv on five announced matches. That's just lazy. I'd hope they'd put Christian and Tomko together for a title run because they won't use his skyrocketing popularity properly anyway. But since that team has been jobbed out time and again what's the point? Actually what is the point when the possible main event is a tag match where one team has cleanly beaten the champs anyway? What a disaster the tag division is.

World Heavyweight Championship Batista (c) vs. HHH
Batista finally started to look comfortable in his role last week, or: they finally gave him a chance TO get comfy with it. Although the whole put the belt in someone's face as a taunt is so last year. Batista probably needs a clean win to cement his status (at which point HHH takes it to the next step up, with the notion that he's never lost a HitC match), although this probably needs some type of shenanigans to put the feud in that direction: it sure as hell isn't getting there by itself, and that's more truth than ten pedigrees.
Batista retains. ======
Team America, FUCK YEAH vs. Hasaan/Davari
With Hogan involved (who at this point has a PhD in Kick The Ass Of A Foreign Menace), what little bit of subtlety the Hassaan angle had has been lost a little bit more now. The match almost books itself. Faces clean house, Shawn gets isolated and takes a Level-5 Ricky Morton Beating while Hogan cheerleads on the apron. Hot tag. YOOOOOOOU!! We go home. We play "Real American". We pose. We dance. We both point to the man upstairs. And we keep going on with it for another 10 minutes.
Hogan/Shawn win =======
I-C Title Shelton Benjamin(c) vs Chris Jericho
This whole program has been done for the purpose of Chris Jericho putting Benjamin over one more time, and rightfully so. Plus there was that whole neither one of them were doing anything so let's give them an actual feud. Conventional wisdom has Benjamin going over, although barring a heel turn this feud has little else to go after that if Shelty retains. Either one of three things happen at the end: beatdown, begrudged respect handshake or they go to the Top Gun ending. I'll take C, but I wouldn't hold my breath for the "you can be my wingman anytime/bullshit, you can be mine" exchange, at least not in so many words.
Last Man Standing Edge Money (w/ Precious The Breifcase) vs. Chris Benoit
Edge could do worse than Benoit as far as guys to get ready for the main event by working with. As long as they don't do the cheap RR2K4 finish, whatever they do is fine by me. Odds that Precious is somehow involved in the finish: 3-1
Viscera (w/ Trish Stratus) vs Kane (w/ Lita The Bank)
Just on the strength of the date segment this week, Vis NEEDS to go over here. And yes, I just said that. In 2005, even. Won't be great, however it has a strong chance to be watchable.

1) Batista - There's no way he only holds the title for a month. I think they've learned from Randy Orton. 2) Hogan & Michaels - Let's say Hogan pins Daivari so that Hassan doesn't job yet. 3} Edge - Benoti won on Raw, so even steven booking says that Edge must get his win back. Plus, Edge is the guy with the Title Shot on the horizon. Plus, I'm predicting a lot of faces to win. 4) Benjamin - There is just about no reason to give Jericho another run with the IC Title. Benjamin gets a much needed win. 5) Viscera - I have no clue. Why not give Viscera the win. He's been pretty damned entertaining the last two weeks. 6) Regal & Tajiri - Last defeating Christian & Tomko. I am aware that that team is not scheduled to be in the match, but Christian has nothing to do, and I see them being an added team at the end of the match after the champs think that they've retained.
