I ask because this past Thursday they aired an episode in which Det. Brass headed out to LA to help his wayward 'daughter' find a prostitute buddy of hers. CSI Warrick was in town to assist him, as well as new characters who were on the LA CSI Unit. They gave them real histories and it was super involved to have just been a normal episode. It definately seemed like a set up for a spin off show.
Personally, I think it's so soon for a spin off, since CSI:NY just started this season. They definately need more work on that series because the script writing is so-so and it has an air of predictability, at time. I was hoping they'd improve that one first.
I've checked a few places online, but never came up with an answer. So, I figured someone here woild know.

So probably not for a while. | JustinShapiro

Grissom has been less and less of the main focus as the time has gone along this season. Brass also hasn't had much in the way storyline in the past so he finally got "his" episode. The show worked for me and I liked the way it was left open at the end. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
