So, I'm looking (unsuccesfully) for a quick&dirty RAW/Smackdown roster for something else, and while I'm tooling around wwfsuperstars.com, I notice they've added a new site - Click Here - which I was kinda hoping would have updated Jakked/Metal listings, but turns to be mostly a funnel back to the RAW/Smackdown/Excess/Heat site - except the links to Jakked and Metal and Attitude (a WWF Show for very small markets - I'd assume mostly Smackdown highlights now) lead to yet another new site, Click Here.
The point of that site seems to convince station people who have Jakked/Metal already to push it harder and get the ratings up (I guess the WWF doing good stuff with the show is too much to ask, har har) and most of it's "how you can get cheap ShopZone stuff and free tickets - but please push our shows" type stuff. I did manage to steal a Jakked logo and may use it without their permission in the future - I'm living on the edge. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAN. I don't know why I connected the last two things.)
And then there's the affilate rewards page:
How to earn points
1000- An increase in ratings on RAW off a localized promotion of 1.0 rating point
600- Promotional brand enhancement in the market place. (Billboards, electronic signs, Banners, etc...)
500- Promotional co-op with local sports teams or sporting events (i.e. NasCar, PGA Golf, etc...)
400- Increase in ratings on RAW off a localized promotion of 0.5 rating point
300- Promotion around a live event in the market
300- Hit total spot calendar
300- Creation of localized RAW tune in kit for fan base
300-Promotion with local radio station
250- Creation of RAW/Pay Per View tie in Promotion
200- A detailed breakdown on local fan base
200- Creation of promotional spots (WWF Approved) based on local RAW tune in
50- Making all weekly spot commitments
5- Signing on to WWF Affiliate Website
5000 Points gets an affiliate a full paid trip to WWFNY on a Monday for two to enjoy RAW and a meet and greet with a WWF Superstar.
4000 Points gets the affiliate a mention on RAW. Could be a sponsor of the night
3000 Points gets the affiliate a talent appearance at the station with a promotion
1000 Points gets the affiliate WWF Merchandise worth $1000 retail value
So, if a couple months from now you hear "RAW is brought to you by WCIU in Chicago!" you know what drugs they're on.
What would you BUY with a $1000 of ShopZone cash anyway? Lots of giveaways, I guess.

Honestly, in most areas it's on at an awkward time (late or early Saturday or Sunday morning) and people just AREN'T going to go out of their way to see Funaki v. Val Venis, unless they're a Funaki mark or they're a completeist.
But honestly, if you have a low rated, syndicated show, you aren't going to start throwing main eventers at it in the hopes that ratings stick. This is the show for people who never get to be on RAW, and it should be.
Thus, it's up to local affiliates (and yes-the WWF) to get people to watch the show and get into the people that show up there. Unfortunately, there's a REASON most of those guys are on Jakked and not RAW. So it's a lose/lose situation really...

i just think it's funny that everytime they come to DC and tape the jacked/metal matches before RAW, that we in the MCI center are the only ones in the DC area seeing the jacked/metal matches because jacked/metal isn't shown in the DC area.
