He's been somewhat of an underachiever so far but still a nice pickup by New England. Low risk, high reward.

Ron Borges of the Boston Globe should be happy. He tore Belichick a new one after the Pats picked Richard Seymour with the #6 pick in the 2001 draft instead of taking Terrell.

I think this is a greatr pick up for the Pats and once again shows why they will always be in the hunt for the title. Terrell has a world of talent and now comes into a situation where he will not have to be "The Man" and can work one on one against lesser DBs and use his height advantage in the red zone. I think 50-60 cathes and 650-750 yards is within reach. However, his presence will be felt in the red zone where he should tally 8 Tds this year.

He was never asked to be "The Man" in Chicago until this year, when he demanded and pleaded for that title, and proceeded to ass it up from one end to the other. The #1 in Chicago was Marty Booker, and for most of those years people looked to Marcus Robinson, not David Terrell next.

That said, I'm sure the magic of New England will rehab him into a competent 3rd WR for them. But he never would have succeeded in Chicago the way he was going.

THAT, and of course this:

Tom Brady > Rex Grossman + Chad Hutchinson + Jonathan Quinn + Craig Krenzel

Without a doubt...also, and I don't follow college football that closely so I could be wrong, but were Brady and Terrell not teammates at Michigan? Letting Terrell play with his old QB certainly can't hurt.

They were. I believe Terrell was a junior when Brady was a senior.

Actually, they were on the team two years together, beginning in the 1998 season when Terrell was a freshman and Brady was a senior, although the 1999 season was when Brady and Terrell were hooking up on a regular basis as Terrell didn't catch many balls his first year
