Yikes, CTU continues down its downward spiral this season as they don't even realize that Marwan is totally playing them for fools. The whole episode was an elaborate distraction and CTU played right into their hands. CTU's incompetence scares me sometimes, as Edgar and Chloe let their superficial bickering get in the way of protecting the country.

I guess its confirmed now that Dina Araz is dead, somewhat anticlimactic that we didn't see that happen though I think. Looks like Behrooz still might have more to do this season, Marwan might think he can still serve some use later this season since he's letting him live for now. Perhaps he plans on using him as a pawn for another terrorist attack?

I'm not sure what Marwan is trying. They might be trying to kill the President, or planning a devastating domestic attack. Maybe trying to kill the president is what they want us to think and he is in fact really working WITH the President? At least that's what kind of struck me at the end of one episode where Imhotep was all like, "The President is very busy" or something.

And holy crap, Chloe is a real bitch! Can't she see Audrey needed some alone time?

No, I believe Chloe just doesn't know any better. IMHO, she was trying too hard to be supportive. Since she doesn't know how, well, it came off even worse. That's some wonderful awkward comedy there.

I think from now on I'll do what Chloe did last night: say something completely stupid showing a lack of interpersonal skills and then if I get a weird look, I'll follow it up with, "I'm sorry, I'm often inappropriately blunt." That was awesome.

Was I supposed to have caught on to the fact that Marwan was playing CTU for fools before the last fifteen minutes of the episode? Because I was wondering why he wanted Behrooz, too. Pretty devious.

I loved how Jack "McGyver" Bauer shorted the phone line so they could trace Marwan. I don't know if that is actually possible, but it was still really cool.

The reason 24 is so great is because when they ahd that briefing to decide whether or not to make the trade, I thought that they might not do it and that Jack was actually in trouble. Of course, we all know he's not, but I actually had to reming myself of that while I was watching.

I really think that the kid who plays Behrooz is without a doubt the worst actor to ever grace American television sets. He's totally devoid of beliveable emotion, as he si always playing everything with a sense of "confused fright" or something like that.

And if the president was involved in all of this for some reason, that would be so awesome.
whatever

Ummm, I thought he spelled out his intentions to distract CTU beforehand.

Don't be so sure. While I also think he's not going anywhere anytime soon, Keifer Sutherland has said that you never know - they could kill Jack off at any time. That would certainly surprise the socks off of people.

I am a little bothered how it seems like everyone at CTU is so "career advancement" minded. It seems like everyone is asking for and getting a raise and title change in the middle of a major terrorist assault on the country! Basically, with Sarah and now Edgar and Chloe displaying such horrible unprofessionalism at the expense of doing their jobs properly, I cannot believe that their superiors would entrust national security with these dolts. Come the end of the "day", their needs to be a pink-slip bloodbath at this local CTU office.

David Caruso and Elisabeth Rohm on line one. And hey, I don't think Behrooz is even the worst actor in the history of 24 --- hi there, Elisha.

Marwan did mention that he intended to distract CTU, but I too was so caught up in this that I forgot as well.

Great episode. Someone check the fuckin' hourlies already, eh?

I couldn't stand her on L&O. Also, I don't think Jonathan Ahdout is too bad, but the Behrooz character is just a weenie. I am not sure what is involved in the "24" Drinking Game, but if I had to take a shot everytime Behrooz said, "Why are you doing this?", I'd be one munk drotherfucker.

That red CD case on Edgar's desk deserves a supporting cast credit next week, complete with dramatic freeze frame.

What's going to happen with Behrooz at this point? Perhaps, in a twist of irony, his constant mistreatment by CTU will lead to his becoming a committed terrorist, something his parents couldn't make him. Maybe he'll blow himself up trying to kill Jack or something. I'm not sure where they're trying to take his character. I don't think we need any more foils at this point, since the Caruso-looking guy is probably trying to kill the President (and may succeed), and Marwan controls the match right now. If I had to guess, I'd guess that he'll either sacrifice himself or put himself at risk to give some crucial advantage to CTU, so we can all reflect on how CTU (and life in general) was pretty horrible to that kid, and he still turned out to be a pretty nice guy.

That seems like an apt prediction Palpy. Marwan will try to manipulate Behrooz and use him for another terrorist attack. Behrooz will go along with for a bit, but in the end he will stay on the light side of the force .

Get it...Palpatine? the force? Feh.

Apparently, this upcoming episode (4/4) is the most important episode in the history of television, and as such, Fox is actually going to air two replays (thefutoncritic.com) of it next weekend (possible SPOILERS - link contains Fox's preview of the episode).

This is a minor gripe, but the guy who played Marwan's henchman in this episode played Mamud Fahin (aka "I got my throat slashed by Nina on the plane") in Season 2. I hate when they do the same actor/different character bit.

Star Trek did that all the time you know the Yak. Though there they could hide it a lot more with make-up .
