Looks like Warner's signed with the Cardinals (sports.espn.go.com), of all teams. I know Warner just wanted a starting job, and I also know he hasn't done much since 2001, but it's still wierd seeing Arizona in the same story as any quasi-big name free agent.

I like the Cardinals shot at the playoffs better than either the Bucs or the Giants (just to name two). The Cardinals have some great recieving threats (though Freddie Jones may be slowing down some), and now have somebody who can get them the ball. I like McCown, but competition at QB is a good thing for a leaderless team.

If the Offense can stay on the field longer, the defense is going to improve as well.

They've gotta have an offensive line that can give Warner the seven seconds he needs to throw the ball. I'm not sure if they have that.

All Arizona needs now is a solid running back and a monster on defense. With that said, you still have to like their chances in the NFC West in the upcoming season. He's got 2 great young receivers in Boldin & Fitzgerald.

I've always been a fan of Warner, namely because I like his "rags-to-riches" story. And he's shown that he can still play (see: NY Giants, early season 2004) Here's to hoping that he finds success in Arizona.

He probably screwed himself with a one year deal though, a two or three year one would probably paid him better in the long run. If the Cards suck on offense he wont be asked back next season for 4 million, thats for sure.
