And now, a week later, the deal is back on, pending physicals, sez ESPN.

As I said in an earlier thread, given that they already have a kick returner I think this deal makes the 'Skins worse, not better.

'Skins or Jets fans disagree?

So Jets fans, will Coles be the #1 receiver in the offense? Heimerdinger sure like McCareins.

Well, now we have S. Moss, D. Patten, and J. Thrash. That's a pretty decent 1-2-3.

Gardner is on his way out. I hate the Coles is leaving, but he doesn't want to stay, so it's all good. I wish we made a move for another high-profile WR, but with the Gibbs offense, three good WRs and two good H-Backs are good enough.

This is the point that the Skins need to settle for what they have and pick up another WR from the dregs of FA later or in the Draft. Trying to bring in another Mediocre to Good WR in FA or through a trade is just overkill right now.

Is Gibbs trying to recreate the Smurfs?

This is a great trade for the Jets; Coles and Pennington had a hell of a connection a few years ago, and I don't think either have been the same since they were seperated.

This doesn't quite make the hurt of L. Jordan leaving go away, though.

Derrick Blaylock is a very good replacement for Jordan, I think.
