Why yes it is! I actually heard this song on Dr. Demento years ago (over 10 years ago, actually - sheesh.). That was a hilarious song. He also did a great song about Wellington boots that I heard the original version of in my AP Euro History class later that year. Talk about distracting - trying to learn about the peasant class while humming a song about boots.

For the D.I.V.O.R.C.E. lyrics, Click Here (homepage.ntlworld.com) I'm pretty impressed too - that song was only #1 for one week.

Mayhem, of course I remember 45's. What makes me feel old is that the most of the first recordings I owned were 78's (like the Three Stooges, "Alphabet Song")

StaggerLee, I loved Rolf Harris "Two Little Boys" - don't knock it till you've heard it. Rolf Harris wrote a ton of great stuff, my favorite being "The Buffalo Song" which was played on the local radio for years.

Other than Wierd Al or maybe Cledus Judd, novelty artists don't get played anymore. Is Dr. Demento even on the air anywhere anymore?
