Never seen the movie but about 99% of my school has seen it and all I ever hear is "give me your tots" or something like that.

I saw it in the art house with the local cynical teens and the whole theater was in sitiches the entire flick. I had to see it a couple more times there too, and liked it more each time. Hailey Duff could have got some more screen time, but she was still worth the price of admission. Napolean knows people think he is a pathetic loser and He doesn't care. He knows that alot of the people around him are the real losers, and in the end, even some of the losers win out. Like Vinnie Mac says " Either you get it, or you don't."

A kid in one of my friends classes here at PSU (a class of about 400, mind you), stood up in the middle of class and just said "Gosh, I'm in the wrong flippin' class! Geez!", and then walked out. And according to my friend, everyone in the class, teacher included, was in stitches for a good five minutes afterward.

I never understood the fuss about the movie--until I actually saw it. Bill Watterson (of Calvin and Hobbes fame) described one of his strips as being "weird for weirdness' sake" and I think that phrase accurately describes Napoleon Dynamite. It's just weird for weirdness' sake, take it or leave it. If you project the movie into real life, as the kid in the large class did, then I think it becomes truly funny.

Man, that PSU class thing sounds flippin' hilarious...Gosh!

I agree, it IS fun to quote with other people. I just watched it again.
My favorite quote from the movie:
"I see you're drinking 1 Percent. Is that 'cause you think you're fat?
'Cause you're not. You could be drinking Whole if you wanted to."
I think it really helps to know somebody that acts like Napolean (or acted like him yourself)
Watch the cheese on Kip's nachos when he talks on the phone to Napolean. It keeps changing. Same with the food on Deb's mouth in the cafeteria.

This movie just gets better & better with each viewing. Just the small things (as in the food, facial expressions, etc.).

This viewing I cracked up at his drinking of Gatorade after dancing.

There's also a stray tater tot on Pedro's plate that disappears and reappears after Napoleon takes the tot pyramid.

I just saw this movie yesterday. It reminds me of Bottlerocket in that I thought it was kinda funny the first time, but I imagine it'd start getting super funny if I watched it again.

Did anyone else feel like the dialogue and the delivery was like something out of SNL? Like when the characters do skits based on high schoolers. Some of the Spartan cheerleader stuff comes to mind.
