| #1 Posted on 24.2.05 2229.26 Reposted on: 24.2.12 2230.39 | Weeks after Canseco's book release, it's looking like Rafi Palmeiro's ready to fight back.
Originally posted by ESPN.com Palmeiro issued a statement last month in which he denied he ever used steroids, and he emphatically backed up that assertion Thursday after his first practice of spring training. Palmeiro also said he's considered hiring the law firm of Orioles owner Peter Angelos to take legal action against Canseco.
"The one thing I can say is I have the best law firm and the best lawyer standing in the wings in Peter Angelos," he said. "I have options available for me. He stands behind me and he's ready. I will look at all my options and I'll decide."
If this does goes through, one must wonder who else may be beating the lawsuit drums?

If this one lawsuit is successful in ripping apart Canseco's credibility, then everyone else is off the hook by default. | drjayphd

Because Palmeiro has lots of money. Peter Angelso has lots of money and may do it gratis. Canseco obviously is trying to make a buck. Sue Canseco, make Canseco go broke on legal fees or issue a retraction. | DJ FrostyFreeze

Lawsuits might not be coming to stop Canseco from pushing his book but this is: Death Threats!
