ESPN.com is reporting that Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi may have suffered stroke-like symptons when he was admitted to the hospital earlier in the week.

I hope this is nothing too serious. Bruschi is a great player and a classy guy. That image of him playing with his kids on the field in Jacksonville sticks out in my mind.

Tedy Bruschi is the face of the New England defense, and he has been for some time. He always steps up to make the big play (usually an interception) when it matters. Here's hoping he makes a quick, full recovery.

I hope it's an easy and complete recovery.

That man has the most beautiful hair in football.

He isn't an Urlacher or a Lewis, but damn if he doesn't get results on clutch downs.

I hope he gets well soon.

Not to minimize your comment, Lexus, but I think that's why I like him so much. He wasn't a "name" for so long. He wasn't a name, then part of a team. For a lot of people, they knew the team, then the name. I follow the team, so this hits harder than it would for most. But I like to think there are lots of other people pulling for him because he was just a guy, and sometimes he was just a guy who did a helluva lot, even though he didn't get mic'd for ESPN Sunday night or anything else. He was just good. Hell, there are a lot of people who deserve that distinction and never get it, unless they get hurt. Tedy got both. I wish he hadn't gotten the latter.

Pull through, Tedy. Best wishes to you, even from a message board.

Sorry to hear about this one, even though I hate the Pats. He's a good player and you never know who can recover from a Stroke and who can't. Some people bounce back just fine after time has passed. Some never do. Here's hoping he does...and is then traded to a team I like. :)

Well, the Rams could use ANY type of run-stopper. :P
