Geez, way to give it a CHANCE.

No, he's mad about this. (zap2it.com)

Sigh...couldn't FOX just move Arrested Development to another night? Or would that get in the way of stimulating television bliss like "The Simple Life"?

The story makes no sense. Why wouldn't Development just take the 9:30 slot to finish its, what, 4 remaining episodes? Or am I missing something?

I HATE YOU, FOX NETWORK. I HATE YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH.

See, THIS is why FOX is considered a crap network in every aspect except for football coverage and animated shows.

Why? Because they're replacing a low-rated show (no matter HOW critically acclaimed it may be)?

Hey, I watch this show too, and I like it, but the facts are, it's not drawing the viewers. And this is after the big push after it won an EMMY, and people STILL weren't clamoring for it.

It's just a TV show.

There was no big push after the Emmys. There were some ads during the MLB playoffs, but the show didn't even air in between the Emmy win and the season premier on Nov. 7. The extent of the big push is "followed by an all new Arrested!" at the end of Simpsons commercials. (And it's not just a TV show. Still Standing is just a TV show.)

It seemed to me that at LEAST once a week there was a story on how great Arrested Development was in the most circulated newspaper in the United States. Every TV critic is trying to keep this show alive (TV Guide's "The Best show on TV you're not watching!").

And yes, it IS just a TV show, albeit a good one.

Replace good with great, and then stop commenting on something you don't feel passionately about. Because obviously it isn't JUST a TV show to him (or me, or people I know).

I'm just trying to give another opinion on this. Just because I don't agree with you that it's God's gift to TV doesn't mean I can't discuss it.

Well it would be sweet if Fox was run by TV critics, in which case I could've watched AD after the Super Bowl, and would get to enjoy my dream hour of Arrested and Andy Richter Controls The Universe every Sunday night.

Maybe you should just form a consortium of people who want to buy the rights to all the good shows that Fox has cancelled over the years.

Plus, shows like "Action" and "Undeclared" would still be alive, meaning that Karp could do something besides challenge long-retired welterweight champions.

This thread makes an interesting read, based on how things are now.

Frankly, I'm surprised that AD actually even got a second season. I had actually relegated it to a group of shows I call "So clever, you will have to watch the last two episodes on DVD because the network will cancel the show before they air." Then, hey, they actually aired the last two episodes. So I was pretty happy about that. Everything else is gravy. As for American Dad, eh, I thought it was okay. There's a lot of room for improvement, but I think it actually can improve. The worst part, since this is Fox, I'm pretty sure American Dad won't get a full run either. If I start to actually like it, it'll just get the Family Guy treatment. "What night is it on? Sunday! no Thursday! no Blurnsday! Blurnsday? Yeah, check you local t.v. listings."
