ESPN.com is reporting that the Vikings may be trying to deal Randy Moss if anyone is willing to listen.

Looks like they may be tired of apologizing for him.

I see Moss winding up in one of four places:

Atlanta - Need a game breaker to go with Vick and has the defensive players Minny needs

Washington - Only because Danny boy treats the Redskins like his personal fantays football team

Oakland - Al Davis loves him those malcontents

Baltimore - Same as Atlanta and maybe with Ray lewis and Ed Reed, they can keep Moss semi under wraps.

For Charles Woodson, maybe?

No way, no how he gets traded. Any team that would want him would try to hold the Vikings over a barrel (I predict an offer of 3rd and 4th round picks). Minnesota says no way, we want a Hershcel-like deal. No trade happens, all is lovey-dovey in Viking-land at the start of next season.

It's all pretty dependent on whether Red "El Cheapo" McCombs can manage to sell the Vikings or not. He's trying to unload the team by the Super Bowl...good luck with that.

Yet another reason I'm so grateful the Packers have thousands of "owners."

He is so gone.

1. He wants out and is tired of being the scapegoat for all that goes wrong in Minnyland.

2. He has worn out his welcome in Minnyland

3. He knows there is no way this team ever gets to the Super Bowl as is.

I really see Baltimore stepping up and making a move for him. It would be a good fit there and it would help there offense greatly. Plus Lewis and Ed Reed would keep him in line.

As for Minnesota, they can take the savings they make from trading Moss and use it in free agency. They can load up on defense and make a move for a WR (Buress, Housmanzdaheh, Mason) to go along with Robinson, Burelson, Campbell and Wiggins (TE).

It is a move the Vikings have to make, IF they get enough back. If they get low balled then he will be back.

That's why I said he'll be back -- no one will offer what would be considered fair market value for him.

The Ravens are probably desperate enough for a receiver to give the Viks close to what they want. I get the impression Moss is pretty much in a minority of one in the Vikings dressing room after the Redksins game so they might be pretty desperate to shed him. Having said that the Ravens draft pick won't be so high. Maybe they'll give up one of their plethora of LB's plus mid-round pick.

Man am I ever glad we ended up with Tra.

If Gibbs has a say, that won't happen. Coach demands respect and character from his players. It is one reason we didn't take the "No Limit Soldier" Winslow JR and got Taylor.

I am quite sure the Rams would like to have him, to help replace Bruce when he retires, but, hopefully THAT wont happen. I hope he goes to the Giants! That would make my day!

Thought the Postons had more of a hand in that... it's generally good form to draft players you can actually sign, no?

If McCombs sells and Moss is dealt, the Vikings are looking at some serious Ewing Theory-style good karma next season.

Maybe Big Blue can entice the Vikings with a 1st round pick. Oh wait, we gave it up already.
San Diego might be a possibility with cap space and multiple 1st round picks though.

In a piece that George Michaels did for the NBC station here during training camp, they were nailing the point home that Gibbs is a stand-up guy and only wants to be surrounded by stand-up people.

I don't really know what his agents did, but I know the Postons can play hardball.

The Postons and Arington are/were(?) trying to sue the Skins saying they owe Arrinton an additional 6.5mil(?) roster bonus that they left out of the final contract without informing Arrington or the Postons.

The whole thing left a bitter taste in the Skins mouth's. I believe it lead to Arrington firing the Postons for not properly reviewing the contract before giving it to him to sign. And he may have decided not to sue, I can't remember for sure.
