The very very very last thing this world needs is more fantasy booking. I believe CZim put it best in a "personal info thread" that got banished:
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

If you wanna do fantasy booking, go start an efed. And be sure NOT to share it with us.

That being said, I have this GREAT fantasy booking scheme that results in "Gentleman" Chris Adams as Undisputed Champion...

I love it when someone gets the joke, I hate it when someone ruins the joke.

I'm so torn.

Is Ken Patera still alive?

Yes, and Patera was apparently quoted in an article (according to Meltzer) in Tire Dealer Magazine (something to that effect) about, I think, strong men or something along those lines.

Had I known your first post was ironic/sarcastic, I wouldn't have posted anything. :>

Thanks to CRZ, there's an appropriate disclaimer at the top of the article. Now, as long as CRZ never 'fesses up to what the correct amount of begging was, maybe we'll never see another example of Fantasy Booking on the slash.

How appropriate to see the word "slash" next to the term "fantasy booking". I wonder if CZim ever gets emails from angry young lads searching for Hardy Boyz pr0n (based on the name of the site)?

It's pretty easy NOT to click on the fantasy booking link if you don't want to read it.

How it affects you otherwise is beyond me...

wrestling slash is primarily a girl's thing. some writers are a little psycho but they all can figure out a site isn't about porn when there's no porn.

I was wondering if anyone here realized the alternate meaning of "slash" as applied to wrestling. ;-) Guess that answers that.

A long while back I used to put up links to wrestlingslash.com and wrestlingslash.co.uk with "Not to be confused with" as the hyperlink, so I (EVENTUALLY) learned the meaning of slash. ;-)

Now that we have established that Someone knows what it means, could Someone enlighten the rest of us? What is the alternate meaning of "slash" as applied to wrestling?

Basically?

It's usually fan fiction of a licentious nature...

To be truly specific, slash is fan fiction about male-male relationships. Almost all of it's written by women. The term originated with Star Trek stories about Kirk and Spock, generally abbreviated "K/S". It doesn't have to be X-rated. But it usually is. ;-)

Obviously wrestling is the perfect raw material, to coin a phrase. That's right, I know WAY too much about this subject...

I'm probably going to regret asking, but why would women write fiction about gay relationships between men?

You some kind of glutton for punishment? ;-) I'll keep it simple. You know how men like the idea of women fooling around with each other? Works both ways, though admittedly not for everyone. There have been actual academic papers written on slash fan fiction, so the phenomenon is well documented.

Better take this one to email if you're STILL curious!

Thanks for the info, but, hopefully, this thread is done.

Go rent the documentary "Trekkies". It was funny to me, because I was part of that cult once. I threw lots of dollars away in high school on going to conventions when I should have been trying to get laid.

Anyway, the reason they gave in that movie for the Kirk/Spock stuff was something about these women not believing that any women was worthy of either of them or that they would be jealous of a woman having sex with them (keep in mind these are FICTIONAL CHARACTERS). So, since no woman was good enough for either Kirk or Spock, they end up in a gay relationship for some reason.

They also had a Trekkie cross-dresser in that movie too, but I think I've digressed way too much. Anyway, rent it, because it makes you take pity and want to get into the cult at the same time.

And the best part of that movie is when the guy is talking about his Star Trek party/BBQ getting bigger every year. Then right excited he says: "And this year a girl even showed up."
