If the FOX executives are censoring stuff that they allowed Seth McFarlane to get away with five years ago, what does that say about Family Guy's chances of lasting a second time around?

I think that there was at least one instance of butchering in every episode that Fox aired since the Olympics marathons. And it wasn't just the "shock value" stuff they were cutting either (like Quagmire "looking for his keys"). So, one of three things happens...
-nobody notices a thing because the writing staff compensates by pushing the envelope just enough that Fox allows it. -everybody notices everything cause the new eps "just aren't the same." -we get two versions of each ep - a cleaner Fox version and a "the way it was meant to be" Adult Swim version. | GodEatGod

*raise hand* Don't be fooled by the marketing scheme around 'Housewives'. They market it as a titillating soap opera, but it's also a rather wicked social satire and, in its own way, is almost as over the top as FG. Plus, it's got Teri Hatcher, who by herself provides at least two reasons 'Housewives' can cut into Family Guy's ratings. But I think the ABC season will be close to over by then, if not entirely done. At worst, Family Guy will probably have to face off against the season finale. | DONUTDREAMS
