I actually got to a Jack-in-the-Box in El Paso, of all places.(How come I only get to try these places when I'm on the road for work?). It wasn't bad, but no different really than Hardee's/Carl's Jr.
Heh, I went to one in Durant, Oklahoma, also while working. I don't quite see the hate for JitB, and their shakes are okay. | StaggerLee

Anybody from North Carolina remember Scats? (I know, horrible name) They had the BEST fried chicken going, until Hardees bought them all up.
And, if you dont have Sonic in your neck of the woods, do you at least have a Roy Rogers? Terrific Roast Beef sandwhiches!
But, the newest chain I see that I just love is Culvers. Simply fantastic food. Plus, a penutbutter chocolate sundae that is to die for! | Maestroken

Think about the nastiest, greasiest, dirtiest dive you've ever been in and know that it was likely cleaner and had better food than your average sliderville. Just my own personal opinion on the evil that is White Castle.

Completely agree. We used to have one off the 130 freeway outside of Pennsauken, NJ. I went there once, and learned that WC has the WORST burgers ever made. Even Harold and Kumar couldn't persuade me to find another White Castle in NJ.
I did however love Jack in the Box when I lived in CA. The Ultimate (or is it triple, quadruple) cheeseburger was like Heaven in grease form.
I don't miss Sonic at all, since moving out East. It was always okay, but not worth the drive. | jfkfc

If the only Chicago food you are missing is White Castle, then wow, just wow.
Seriously, White Castle is the best example I can think of for a fast food joint that you either love or you hate without any middle ground. I made extra spending money in college transporting sliders back to school whenever I'd go home, but I wouldn't touch one of the things and my then girlfriend wouldn't get in my car for several days after each White Castle run because it "stank".

1) a good, solid chunk of the canadian population lives in Ontario (and southern ontario, at that). 2) lots of people travel to places in Ontario.
Now, if Mary Browns or Pizza Delight were to advertize on TSN, that'd be stupid. | Java

Now... THERE is a loaded question.
I've only had White Castle once, and it was... um... well nothing special. Though we too get the Sonic adverts here in Oregon, and they ain't around. But I've been to Sonic down in AZ, and it was good, didn't really get to have a lot of different things. Found that I stay away from McD's now unless absolutely necessary. | SEADAWG

I first started seeing those ads with the dorks a few years ago, and it seemed like they were regionally based at the time. So I wonder if Sonic has inflicted them on everyone nationwide.
I have about 3 Sonics near me, it's total Sonic overkill. But I do like the breakfast burritos and sunshine smoothies, not to mention the ocean water slushes. Mmmm. Delish. SONIC BOOM.

There are only 18 left in the whole state; only one in the Baltimore area(and that's at BWI), one in Westminster and two in Montgomery County count as the Baltimore/DC area.
Most are Frederick and west. |
