It doesn't get the greatest of ratings, since it's on UPN, and anyone I ever mention it to says, "Never heard of it." However, the show is just great. Great writing, fantastic acting, particulary by Kristin Bell, who manages to hit a home run with every line. Not to mention, she's a hottie. In addition, the large story arc of who killed Lilly Kane has so many layers and tons of suspects. There's got to be someone else out there who watches this show. | Promote this thread! | | GoddamnJordan

I love it, its just so... comfortable to watch. I always compare it to Lost just because they're two new dramas that are great. I'm sure Lost is probably more of a quality show, but I love Veronica Mars more. Maybe teen shows with ongoing story-lines just turn my crank. Its very Buffy-like in that way.
Smart writing, great acting, the mix of the funny and the drama.
I don't care if it becomes a hit, I just hope enough people watch for it to have a nice, long run.

Never read 'em. Nor have I read The Hardey Boys. Isn't there a girl detective series that I also never read?
EDIT: Yeah, thanks Ryan_A, Nancy Drew. Never read those ones either.

Having read pretty much the complete works of Encyclopedia Brown when I was a kid, this just cracked me up completely. You know this would be in "The New Adventures of Encyclopedia Brown". | JustinShapiro

But Veronica is an updated, hotter Encyc B for the years 2004 and 2005. In this post-9/11 world of terrorism and prison torture, apple pies and missing sneakers just don't carry the same amount of gravitas.
