Q1: How often do you watch WWF programming now?

1. Never miss any show.
2. Watch just the fresh "live" material.
3. Skip some live shows, catch up on weekend TV.
4. Skip some live shows.
5. Occassionally watch shows.
6. Never watch wrestling on TV now.

Q2: How often do you read wrestling web pages?

1. Always read several sources.
2. Just read CRZ!!
3. Sometimes
4. Never.

For me:

Q1: Never been higher than 4. In fact, I had slipped to 5 and almost 6 until the nWo came back, which peaked enough interest in me to bring me back to a 4. After seeing the nWo get botched, I got pessimisstic again and seeing Vince all over my TV has pushed me back closer to 5. The last Smackdown! I saw was two weeks prior to WMX8.

Q2: I've been a 1 for the most part. Recently I've become more CRZ-focused so I'd have to say I've dipped to a 2. I still check this place out every day tho. I'll gloss over the recaps of shows I miss. To be honest, the split just isn't catching my interest for whatever reason (Vince).

Q1: 5, I work on Mondays and most thursday.

Q2: I visit Opinion boards, but not strict wrestling sites. I refuse to go to 1bob. I usually come to Slash for the recaps when I can't see them.. who doesn't?..

Q1: When I can it's generally 2, but as of late I've had lots of commitments on Mon and Thurs, so it's more a mix of 3 and 5.

Q2: It's 1 for me. I generally hit the big two news sites (torch, WO), and a couple of opinion sites (OO, 411, smarks)

Q2: 1 I read loads of stuff it's often more entertaining than the shows themselves.

1)I watch RAW, Smackdown, usually Heat, and, when I remember, Metal/Jakked. I guess #1.

2)I used to go to Torch/Observer a lot, but lately I just come here and Slash, and anything newsworthy finds its way here eventually.

I have a question. Down here in Florida, Metal/Jakked play at 11 AM Sunday morning (and the other at noon. I forget which is which). Does it usually show at different times elsewhere? It seems like most reports on other sites are up before it even shows down here.

The past couple of months I've been pushed up to 2 for basically the same reason as you - saw the nWo return, saw it get screwed up, stayed to watch the split, think I'll watch Raw & Smackdown this week and slip back to 5 if nothing grabs my interests.

The writing at the moment has about as many logic holes as my uncle's old "No shooting on my property" sign had bullet holes! In fact a few weeks ago I sent just a short rant on one (nWo) angle (grumble... shoulda shaken up the fed by the nWo bein a bunch of faces led by Hogan doin their old beat up everyone trick).

I'm also #1 on the net thing atm, but that may slip back down too.

For about a year before, I tuned in occasionally... botched handling of the Invasion and the Kiss-My-Ass club episodes were the ones that I saw, and being a loyal WCW fan anyways no-one can blame me for not watching...

Same went for about a year before that with Russo's 2nd reign leading Nitro. Aside from that, I slowly but surely watched less and less wrestling as WCW deteriorated, though back during the original nWo angle, the Sting Vs Hogan angle, Austin Vs McMahon and Wolfpac Vs nWo, and WCW for about a year after, I never missed an episode.

Funnily enough, up until Russo's 2nd reign I was watching less WCW TV and more internet reports. The stuff goin on backstage was often more interesting the the stuff on the air!

Metal/Jakked is syndicated. It could show up on any local tv channel at any time on the weekend.

I have lived in a few different markets. Usually you can catch one of the shows (Jakked or Metal) late Friday or Saturday night) or (if you get up at a reasonable hour on the weekend) on Saturday or Sunday morning. I live in Stamford, CT right now, and at 11 pm on Saturday you have a choice of Excess Late Night or Metal. Of course, now that Excess will officially be split into two recap shows (which will get rid of the saving grace "From the Vault" matches) there will be no choice but Metal or SNL.

What's the basic difference between the shows? I rarely see the morning version, but I assume they tone down the language and violence in the recaps for the morning show. However, I see in TV Guide that both the late night and morning shows available here are Metal. My only guess is that it is a way to get around Syndicated Exclusively laws... so that two stations in one market can syndicate the same wrestling under two different titles (since the two stations that carry it here are in different states, I guess it doesn't matter that they both carry Metal).

To the original questions, 2 and 1. I catch Raw, Smackdown and PPVs religiously. Sometimes I miss Heat, and I rarely catch Metal/Jakked. I find recap shows ridiculous, so I only flip over to Excess from something else if I expect to see "From the Vault" or an interesting guest.

(And screw my cable company for carrying Univision and not Galavision... at least Rey is coming back to the domestic television so I don't have to be pissed off every Tuesday night)

As to web sites, I read certain columnists, not specific sites. Rick Scaia (OO), CRZ & a few of his columnists (where's BrewGuy been since WM?). WO for news and NEVER PWTorch. And of course, I read these forums most every day.

I try not to miss the big 2 shows, and hardly don't. Because of the repeat times in Canada, I usually see the big 2.

As for the weekend shows, Jakked/Metal - I never go out of my way to watch it (sat and sun at 6pm) If I'm at that time I'll catch it... Heat - I do try to catch, but if I don't no sweat... Excess- back when Trish was co-hosting I try to watch it, but since she left I haven't been really watching either... International Livewire - never to hardly watch it.

As for wrestling net surfing. I think this is a real interesting, I used to check out all the major news sited daily. I can't stand them anymore ever since WCW folded. I truly think Meltzer has lost his mind is going paranoid insanity.. Meltzers bitches up north in The Law is screaming the sky is falling at every turn (I havne't listen to their radio show in months and months). I can't stand reading it anymore. I'd rather come here and just talk to normal people(well more normal then them)

Q1: 6 for the most part. I occasionally watch the end of RAW and maybe tape it if there's nothing else I want to watch, but about the only WWF show I watch without fail these days is Tough Enough, and that doesn't really count.
I don't see myself sitting down to watch an entire RAW or Smackdown any time soon. So I guess it's between 5 and 6 since I occasionally watch a few minutes here and there.

The funny thing is, my lack of interest is for the same reason other people have increased interest...the introduction of Hogan and the NWO.

But that's really only the straw that broke the camel's back. Over the last few years, my interest has lessened due to the gradual fading away of the things I liked most about wrestling. I just can't see slogging through 4 hours of RAW and Smackdown in hopes of seeing maybe 15 minutes of stuff I like. I'd rather just watch tapes of old matches.

Q2: I only read [slash] wrestling! Well, sometimes I check out Scotsman's weblog, but that doesn't have much to do with wrestling.

1.) As much as I hate to admit it, I usually watch every week. If not, I just tape. Fast forwarding can add SO much to a bad wrestling show, believe you me. However, as of late, I've found I can save myself some tape just by reading CRZ. Quite handy, that is.

2.) [slash], 411, and The Torch. Also, OUR so-called SPORT for comedy value.

The questions are tied together for me. I read all kinds of wrestling pages (my regulars are the Torch, 411, Meltzer, Our So-Called Sport, RandomWrestling, LethalWrestling and of course Slash), and thus I judge my viewing habits based on spoilers. My Thursday viewing is already filled with Survivor, Friends and Whose Line, so I watch SmackDown based on if any interesting matches/segments are scheduled to happen. Same with Heat, though since I usually work Sundays, I miss it. I always watch RAW.
