(I'm just stealing the html from my blog, so I don't have to type this up again, so I apologize if I make any comments in the intro that make no sense here. I tried to edit them out, but I might've missed a few.)

You get two votes in every category, except for three in the Hall of Fame. I'd rather you didn't double up votes, although I'd probably count them if you did. I won't even look at write-ins, so don't bother.

Voting will close a day later this year, January 16 at 12:00 noon. The winners will be posted by 1 pm. You can either post your votes on the comments below, or send them in an email (to THIS address - the Hotmail account is DEAD. Any votes sent there will never ever ever be seen.), or post them on Your Favorite Band Sucks, or send them to me in a PM at CRZ's board, or post in this thread, or write them down and hand it to me or anything else you can think of that'll get the votes to me.

You are allowed, nay, encouraged to forward them to anyone you like, or direct them to the blog. Everyone is allowed to vote in these awards.

If you disagree with all my nominations, you have no taste in music and should be ashamed of yourself.

A much, much prettier version of the nominees is available here.

And now, without further ado:

The fact you put that godawful AFI cover in the Best category over Shatner's Common People pretty much... well... sucks.

Man, no love for Jet? Oh, well, here goes. I'll probably vote for only one in many cases.

BREAKTHROUGH

Kanye West

WORST COVER SONG

"Car Wash", "She Bangs"

BEST COVER SONG

"Peace Love And Understanding", "Masters Of War"

MOST OVERPLAYED

"This Love" (I kinda like most of these. No Five For Fighting?)

COMPILATION/SOUNDTRACK

Garden State

PROTEST ALBUM

Beastie Boys, Rock Against Bush

WORST MUSIC VIDEO

Britney

BEST MUSIC VIDEO

TMBG

No vote for worst song as I don't hate any of those

BEST SONG (NONSINGLE)

Ben Folds

BEST SONG (SINGLE)

Fountains of Wayne, OutKast. good list

WORST ARTIST

Jessica and Mr. Jessica

ARTIST OF THE YEAR

Springsteen, Green Day

WORST ALBUM

William Hung, Passion of the Christ (having Lauryn Hill is good, but having Scott Stapp is very, very bad)

ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Beasties, Green Day

FUZZYMcHALL of FAME

Elvis Costello and the man he always wanted to apologize to, Ray Charles. Only one more? Crap, Marley or the Who? Marley or the Who? Ummm...The Who.

Non-vote: Best song from this year that you've probably never heard of:
A Is For Allison, Cary Aria.

I'm a little embarassed that I didn't notice this 7 years ago: "Car Wash" was not originally by Jim Croce. It was by Rose Royce. Croce had a different song called "Workin' At The Car Wash Blues".

I'm equally embarrassed. Furthermore, I would like to apologize for the lack of Shatner, seven years after the fact. I...don't know what I was thinking there.
