Has anyone mentioned this article by the Sports Guy yet? He mentions pro wrestling quite a bit, doesn't he? Way more than any other big name writer that I can think of.
You know, hating Kobe Bryant isn't as fun anymore now that apparently everybody else hates him too. I almost feel sorry for him. ALMOST.

To keep with the topic:
He's already a heel, in my book. I've not liked him long before not liking him was "cool". I went to college in Philly so I kinda had a jump on what his deal was. :)

Although there was something neat about seeing him score 42 yet not get any points in the last 7 minutes and lose after Shaq fouled out and Miami's next-best guy playing on one leg. I love Shaq and all, but Dwyane Wade is my own personal Jesus.
All the while his occupying the ball on the wing is taking their next-best player (Odom) and keeping him from what he does best, since he could have taken Haslem/Laettner off the dribble on the perimeter any time he wanted. Simply using Odom to be a spot-up shooter in order to accomodate Kobe is handcuffing him from doing what he's best at.
Considering that by all rights Miami should have gone 0-2 on that mini-road trip, I'll take the two wins.

Someone recently called him out in an email for actually talking about wrestling too much ...
EDIT: Ah, here it is ...
Originally posted by the Mailbag Q: Bill, consider this an intervention. Stop with the wrestling comments. Please. For us, the fans ...if not for yourself. -- Greg Ippolito, Philly, PA
SG: Wow, this guy managed to antagonize three fan bases with one e-mail: Wrestling, bowling and NASCAR. That might be an SG Mailbag record. But here's my question: Are the Monster Truck fans outraged that they weren't included, or relieved that they weren't included? I'm leaning towards relieved. But I'm willing to discuss it.
I guess Greg wasn't too happy when he read this Kobe article ...
