It's that time of year again as we all know, and like every Christmas, I try to come up with an idea for a Christmas gift for Ms. Scooter Trash that is "from the heart". (In other words, cheap to do, but it goes a long way.)
The idea that I'm leaning towards this year was given to me from a friend. She suggested starting a book of our relationship together by using a journal and writing down "our first times" and stories and experiences over the past 5 years together. And of course, leaving pages empty for the future.
I was curious if anybody out there had similar ideas for such gifts?

My buddy did that for his girlfriend of infinity years (they later broke up and he married a better girl a year later, but I digress), and she loved it. He had all their old movie ticket stubs, pictures, etc.. and wrote down memories, thoughts, etc..
She loved it. It was a good sappy gift, and of course everybody loves a hand-made gift.

I like the journal idea, but while at your at it, throw in a little hand-made coupon book.
The coupons will be for all the little romantic things that your lady just loves: a coupon for a day when you do all her usual chores around the house; a coupon for a night out to dinner at her favourite place; one for a foot and back massage; one for a smooching session, etc.
It's that you wouldn't do these things without the coupons, but giving her the coupons is a fun way of putting the control in her hands, a way for her to approach you and say, "this is what I would like to do today."
Pretty soon, she'll be approaching you with a little slip of paper in her hand, saying, "You're taking me out tonight," or "you're doing the dishes while I put my feet up," or "off with the pants, mister!"

Yeah, but if they're married she most likely has that control already, coupon book or no coupon book. :)
