Looks like ol' Nick might be a bit curious about the Fish head coaching job. He might be the man to help turn the show around down in south FLA. He just needs to go out and draft him a QB to build on.

At this point, assuming that Leinart is taken by San Fran at #1, they'd probably be best served to go with their choice of Cedric Benson, Cadillac Williams or Ronnie Brown and then either try to money-whip Brees into coming or cast their lot with Feeley for another year at the least. Reason being is that here and there this season Feeley has shown signs of improvement, and you're more apt to get immediate returns out of a running back than a quarterback. Miami would be putting themself back to the same spot they were at the beginning of this year, only this time with a much bigger investment.

Also, Feeley has shown signs that when his recievers actually catch the ball and the line actually blocks for him, that he's not all that horrible, or at least he's shown that he has a learning curve and can possibly get better. Miami has things they need besides a QB, although if they end up taking D'Brickashaw Ferguson instead of a running back it wouldn't surprise me, either, but most likely they're thinking of drafting themselves a franchise player rather than what they need the most, which is OL help.

I heard on Mike & Mike this morning that Leinart will most-likely return to USC next year.

And like you said, Feeley is showing signs he's improving.

So should Leinhart return to USC, then who goes #1? Alex Smith?

Scouts, Inc. has Cal's Aaron Rodgers (also a junior) ranked as their #1 overall prospect, with Leinart #2.

Or Aaron Rogers, depending on a) if SF/whoever absolutely wants a QB above all else b) how the pre-draft stuff plays out.

Personally, I'm not insane about either one of them. They're not bad, they're just not lottery pick material in a strong QB draft, which this isn't.
