Sad in so many ways...

Hollywood is Calling is a website where you can order a personal message from a "celebrity" to yourself or a friend.

Such luminaries as Ron Palillo, Cindy Margolis, Dennis Haskins, and "Professional Wrestling Superstar, 39 Time WWE Hardcore Champion, WCW U.S. Champion, and ECW Wrestling Champion" Raven.

Just remember, you've got to leave your answering machine on and turn off all your call blockers, call screeners, etc. or you risk missing your special personalized call...

Wow. Lash LeRoux and Evan Karagious also appear. Most suprised to see on there? Lou Ferrigno, Larry Holmes, and Cindy Margolis. They (along with Mr. Belding) were abou the only people I recognized.

If the calls are 20 bucks, they've got to see maybe 10 of it. So I guess you can look at it a couple of ways:

10 bucks for 30 seconds of work works out to $1200 bucks an hour - which is a lot even by Movie Star standards.

How many calls are you going to make? You're embarrasing yourself and putting the nail in the coffin of your career for a few hundreds bucks a week? How desparate are you?

I've actually done this! About this time last year, actually. My wife was a big Voyager fan, so I got Tuvok (Tim Russ? Rice? something like that) to call her.

I don't really see anything wrong with this, it's not like any of these people were a-list (most barely even b-list)stars, so why not make a couple of bucks calling a fan?

I'd probably pay good money for Dennis Haskins to call the future Mrs. SOK when we're having problems, with his classic hey hey hey, what is going on here?" line from Saved By The Bell.

Classic stuff indeed! I wonder if I could request him to record my voicemail message, saying that I'm in detention or something in classic Belding mode.

Man, that'd be SWEEET!

What a strange collection of celebrities. Most would not even get a call from the "Surreal Life".
I didn't know there was another famous Richard Hatch.

So, if you want Lou Ferrigno to call you at 10pm tomorrow night he'll do it? Are they on permanant standby--waiting around for an order??? Strange.

They call when it's convenient for them, within three days of your payment. I think my wife's call came around 3pm (I think).

$20 to have Erin Gray call me up and say goodnight... That would totally rule.

Why in the world would you want a celebrity calling your house. Its bad enough when you have dumbass celebrities like Lindsay Lohan shining on the cover of People for the second time. The article was how she coped with her family crisis. Give me a break this girl parties. She must live under the infamous title, 'Play hard, Work hard' she'll be another faded celebrity (hopefully).

Actually the saying is "Work Hard, Play Hard and Wake Up Hard." And, yes, that applies to both sexes. Someone needs to invent getting people to pay you NOT to call... nevermind. And someone needs to beat whoever is in charge of "press photos". Good Lord. "Tabitha" used to be our neighbor years ago - a call from her is suggested. I would go for Kato, seeing as he would probably mark out talking about himself and then hang up when I mentioned mixing Oj with Vodka - and how that could kill you. Hell, it's my dime, you think these folks would have a good sense of humor

My favorite thing on that site is this quote

Whether it's for a special occasion or just for the fun of it, there's no better way to impress a client...

There is NO better way to impress a client LOL! Makes you really wonder how many business deals get finalization due to a phone call from Todd Bridges. What are you talking about Willis.

If they involve heroin, about 40%.
