In that particular case, he actually managed to make a screwed up nonsensical angle even worse; Kevin Nash split from Hogan over Savage, and Savage was gone inside a couple of months.
The incarnation with Goregeous George went over realy well, and courtesy of Mr Turner and Mr Bischoff, and some good financial management, he has enough spare cash to need never step into the squared circle again!
In fact, at one point he tried to put in a last minute bid for WCW but the company was already signed across to WWFE at that point. Savage owning WCW, given his problems with Hogan and his cronies, and the fatc that Luger was supposedly screwing his ex-wife Elizabeth, would have made a very interesting shakeout.
Alas it wasn't to be! And judging his dealings with Andrew McManus, perhaps it's for the better | Travis

I always heard that Honky was the one that refused to drop the IC title to Savage, so to makeup for it Vince booked Savage to win the title at WM IV- robbing Ted Dibiase of a much deserved world title reign. Either way poor Ted got the shaft.
edit: as for Savage in Spiderman, he plays a bad guy named Buzz Saw McGraw, or something like that. I don't know how big of a part it is, but it can't be huge 'cause the Green Goblin (not to be confused with the Oragne Goblin) is the main antagonist. Check out imdb.com (internet movie database) for more info.

Having Medusa, G.G. and Miss Madness come to the ring and beat guys up, then having Macho drop the big elbow was just TOO classic. I always thought that what broke it up was Macho being way too jealous and protective of G.G. to the point that he did not want her in the ring anymore. Anyone know if that is true? It would not surprise me, given how he supposedly treated Elizabeth in the past (or was that just all his gimick?)

You marked out for Randy Savage beating women. I have a new favorite poster.
Go do some google searching, you'll find lots of interesting Savage insanity.

I tend to believe that if Savage had gone into another male wrestler's locker room and punched him, people wouldn't have been so much up in arms about the whole thing. Sure, they'd have been pissed, and Savage would've been fined more than likely. But the fundamental question is this: Why is it more wrong to hit a woman than to hit a man?
Keep in mind, I'm not trying to advocate violence against women or anything. But if one makes the argument that violence against women is more wrong because women are more defenseless than men, I'm sure feminists would be up in arms about that. | DMC

If I remember correctly, Savage hit TORI of all people and he's been my least favorite wrestler ever since. On a Nitro episode, Tori and GG was in the locker room after somebody (I think Dennis Rodman) stole her away. Savage was yellin at GG while Tori was looking on and he went "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKIN AT??!!" SMACK.
As far as violence against women...that was an example of women you DON'T hit. But for women like Jazz...it'll probably TAKE a man to kick her ass. What happened to her? She used to be a fox, is she still with Tommy Dreamer?
