I think there is very little doubt in anyones mind this is the most anticipated PPV of the Year! The buzz online has been amazing. Here we go

*WWE Title Match; Four-way
-Layfield(c) vs. Eddie vs. Booker vs. Undertaker
PICK: UNDERTAKER -- I don't think they'll give it to the other 2 faces as it's counterproductive to have them win the title in a match with a much more popular face in it. So it's between JBL & Undertaker. Taker has had 2 PPV matches without winning the title, I'll say third times the charm.

*U.S Title Match; Street fight
-Cena(c) vs. Jesus
PICK: JOHN CENA -- Right

*WWE Tag Team Titles Match
-Mysterio/RVD vs. Dupree/Suzuki
PICK: REY MYSTERIO & Rob Van Dam -- Why did they do a title switch on the show before the PPV? My initial pick is RVD & Rey to win so I'll keep it.

*WWE Cruiserweight Title Match
-Spike(c) vs. Funaki
PICK: SHO FUNAKI -- I'm calling a major upset. I just don't see Spike doing anything of note with the title now. I'll have Funaki win and lose it quickly to Kidman.

*3 on 1 Match
-BigShow vs. Angle/Jindrak/Reigns
PICK: KURT ANGLE, MARK JINDRAK, LUTHER REIGNS -- Kind of a tough one, hard to tell if they are serious about this Angle group. If they are Kurt's team wins but if they are not it could be an out for it. I find this group boring so I wouldn't mind my prediction being wrong

*Special Referee; Charlie Haas
-Jackie vs. Dawn
PICK: DAWN MARIE -- Misunderstanding between Jackie and Haas. Dawn gets her frist win since I think ever lol.

*Tough Enough Dixie Dog fight
-Puder vs. Mizanin
PICK: DANIEL PUDER -- He's been winning everything else, why not this.

*7 Matches listed & the last two will no doubt be short (we can hope) & can't see the US title match being long either. There's a lot of guys who's been stepping up especially on Velocity like London, Kidman, Chavo and Akio who could put on a nice match. But it will most likely be Torrie & Hiroko... This really is one of the most apathetic cards of the year. There really isn't one match listed that makes me think "I'll spend money to watch this". If my prediction are right we'll have every title holder on both brands being babyface.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to this PPV....

Puder v.s The Miz: Puder, in a short contest. Bob Holly then comes out and kicks both their asses.

Dawn v.s Jackie: Dawn, in a turn by Haas, even though I don't think we've really seen Charlie and Jackie together long enough to really care about the turn.

Big Show v.s Reigns, Jindrak and Angle: I know WWE likes the underdog winning in these kinds of matches, but if Show won, I don't think it'd be clean. Reigns, Jindrak and Angle take the victory.

Funaki v.s Spike: Spike wins here, probably in a match that's about 5 minutes too short.

Rey/RVD v.s Rene/Kenzo: The heels get the belts back.

Cena v.s Jesus: Cena gets his revenge, but he ain't done with Carlito.

JBL v.s Eddy v.s Booker v.s 'Taker: Man, I don't see 'Taker doing another job on a PPV, but I don't see JBL walking away without the title, either. I'll go 'Taker winning the title, but only in the short term.

(not so)Quick Picks:

-JBL retains: The rumors that have been swirling have JBL as even more of a long term champ, so I'll pick him. I doubt Guerrero will get it again right now, I doubt Booker T will ever get it, and I hope to God that the Undertaker doesn't get it. I like JBL. Many people do not. That's a shame, because JBL is YOUR WWE Champion.

-Cena retains: I don't care about Jesus (the wrestler) and I doubt that many people do. It seems that there's a chance Cena could win the big one at Wrestlemania, so having him job to this guy does nothing for him. But then again, who knows? Maybe they've got something else in mind.

-RVD/Rey retain: I don't see a point in giving the titles back to Kenzo/Rene, unless it is an exercise in completely ass backwards booking. It may well be, but it seems that RVD/Rey is gonna be the team to be the cornerstone of whatever is left of the Tag division, plus all of the other tag teams are heels (Team Angle, Bashams, Dudley Boyz, Rene/Kenzo).

-Puder wins: Seems like everyone agrees on this. I could not care less about these two guys.

-Dawn Marie wins: Haas interferes on her behalf because that would make no sense. Should I even ask why this match is on PPV or should I just nod my head politely and move on?

-Spike retains: I hear that they wanna get the title off of Spike, but Funaki doesn't get it. Does Funaki beat anyone ever? Maybe the Dudley Boys come back and Spike maintains through nefarious means.

-Big Show wins: If Team Angle wins, what is the point? Seems like Angle is gonna be doing very little in the near future because of his neck, so it's not like they need to keep him red hot. The other two guys who are slugs who would do best to be a full time tag team. Either way, I could care less about the outcome.

Shouldn't there be at least one more match? There's only 7 right now, and the Tough Enough match is only gonna go three minutes as will the woman's match, most likely. I'll predict as a special added attraction, we'll get Chavo Guerrero vs Billy Kidman vs Paul London in a kick ass match won by Kidman. Or maybe not? Who can tell......

Don't really feel like doing much analysis here...

Four-way: JBL wins, although not by pinning Taker (I have a feeling Eddie will be the one doing the job).

Cena v. Jesus: Cena.

Show v. Team MLK: Team.

Funaki v. Spike: Is there some way they can both lose? If not, Spike.

Tag match: Rey/RVD.

Dawn v. Jackie: No contest, as Charlie refuses to decide, thus continuing this angle even further.

Tough Enough: Puder.

Everyone in the bar where I usually watch PPVs: Will be watching Eagles/Redskins instead.

*WWE Title Match; Four-way
-Layfield(c) vs. Eddie vs. Booker vs. Undertaker
PICK: JBL, baby. The dream continues. Why blow off the reign now? I think the whole Team JBL thing might be catching on. Hell, might as well let him keep it till WM at this point. He can drop it to Cena there. I don't think the world is pining for the taker. And I would think they may be doing a face face feud with booker and eddy.

*U.S Title Match; Street fight
-Cena(c) vs. Jesus
PICK: Cena, naturally. What a clustefuck a rather promising Cena v. Carlito program turned into.

*WWE Tag Team Titles Match
-Mysterio/RVD vs. Dupree/Suzuki
PICK: Van Dam and Rey Rey

*WWE Cruiserweight Title Match
-Spike(c) vs. Funaki
PICK: Funaki. Why not?

*3 on 1 Match
-BigShow vs. Angle/Jindrak/Reigns
PICK: Team Angle has to win, otherwise they're more of a joke than they are.

*Special Referee; Charlie Haas
-Jackie vs. Dawn
PICK: Dawn

*Tough Enough Dixie Dog fight
-Puder vs. Mizanin
PICK: Puder kills him.

*WWE Title Match; Four-way
-Layfield(c) vs. Eddie vs. Booker vs. Undertaker
PICK: JBL -- I'd imagine that the storyline for the match would be the three faces beating the holy hell out of JBL, then turning on each other, and Bradshaw comes in and gets a cheap pin. Although December PPVs have seemed to see a lot of title changes in recent years (HHH last year, HHH and Angle in 2002, the Undisputed title in 2001).

*U.S Title Match; Street fight
-Cena(c) vs. Jesus
PICK: JOHN CENA -- I guess we'll see how Jesus does in an extended match, although Cena certainly isn't the guy to carry him. I dunno where they're going to go with this Carlito/Cena feud now though, I guess have the blowoff when both men are available, but I'd imagine they want to build up Cena for a major program at Wrestlemania.

*WWE Tag Team Titles Match
-Mysterio/RVD vs. Dupree/Suzuki
PICK: REY/RVD -- This match seems pretty pointless now, but I guess they'll put over the faces strong here to set up a program with the Bashams.

*WWE Cruiserweight Title Match
-Spike(c) vs. Funaki
PICK: FUNAKI -- Why not? Funaki has paid his dues and deserves some gold, and it would make for some interesting television if the writers run with it: the underdog face champion trying to retain his title against all competition.

*3 on 1 Match
-BigShow vs. Angle/Jindrak/Reigns
PICK: TEAM ANGLE V2.0 -- Why not just do a straightup Reigns/Show match, so at least nobody looks bad in losing (and you might actually accomplish something in putting Reigns over)? If Show wins, it devalues the heel group. If Team Angle wins, then they won with 3:1 odds. I guess they'll go the route of not completely destroying one of the two major SD! heel groups and have Show lose here.

*Special Referee; Charlie Haas
-Jackie vs. Dawn
PICK: DAWN MARIE -- Haas needs something to do, maybe a heel turn will freshen him up. I dunno what they'll do booking wise after this, but having Jackie win would kill this storyline dead, so I'll go with a continuation of it.

*Tough Enough Dixie Dog fight
-Puder vs. Mizanin
PICK: DANIEL PUDER -- Anything less than total domination by Puder here will be disappointing.

JBL retains i think, I can't see Taker winning the title with his limited schedule, house shows needs the WWE champ.

RVD/Mysterio retains, 3 day title reins are stupid.

Big Show wins...he needs the momentum going into the Rumble, I see Angle walking away as not to make him look weak losing straight up.

I hope Haas doesn't turn so as a blowoff, Jackie wins.

Jesus wins, Cena has to go back to the movie im guessing so a Rumble rematch is set followed by Cena/Carlito at NWO.

Funaki wins, Spike didn't even appear on Smackdown this week.

Puder hands down.

I'm not ordering this crap, I get HERO on DVD and I can't wait to see this. However, here is how I see it going down.

Spike vs. Funaki: I think Funaki will win via the Dudley Boyz turning on Spike. That will lead to the verse of the Dudley Boyz civil war where Spike gets heel partners to get his brothers.

Dawn vs. Jackie. Dawn will win, because Haas needs a heel turn to go after the U.S. title.

Cena vs. Jesus. Cena is supposed to come back full time in a few weeks, so it would be idoitic to have him loss to another green wrestler, again. Plus, Jesus and Carlito will probably be going before Wrestlemania anyway.

Rey/RVD vs. Dupree/Kenzo. I think Teddy reveses Smackdown's decisions, but Rey and RVD win via Torrie's help.

Big Show vs. Team Angle version suck. Remember when Shelton and Hass were on Kurt's team, the wrestling goodness. Anyway, Show beats them since the odds deem Show win. I do think Kurt will continue with this fued even though both men were going at the title this time two years go.

Title Fourway. It would be nice for Eddie to bookend this year with the title and to have anyone other than JBL represent the WWE in Iraqi as their champ. However, Vince has a hard on for this gimmick, so JBL retains even though logic dictates he will lose the belt. If the JBL Corporation does come down, I wonder if Teddy will strip him of the title and the winner of the Royal Rumble can choose to which brand he is champion of if Eric puts their title on the line at the Rumble. It would interesting, but we will probably see both HHH and JBL as champs as we end the year. So, once again nothing really changes on Raw and Smackdown's downward spiral keeps coming.

WWE Title, Fatal Fourway Match
John Bradshaw Layfield v. Undertaker v. Booker T v. Eddie Guerrero

This match has to be blowaway in order for this show to have any redeeming value. Not sure if they will, but WWE is usually pretty good at smartly booking a main-event, so it could suprise us. I don't think WWE has any intentions of having JBL lose the belt yet, so Bradshaw's reign gets to go to the 6 month mark.
WINNER: John Bradshaw Layfield

WWE United States Title Match
John Cena v. Jesus

Boy, I am NOT looking forward to this one. It's Jesus' biggest match yet so he needs to step it up. However, I doubt this will be any good. John Cena retains, because Jesus winning it would just be stupid.
WINNER: John Cena

WWE Tag Team Title Match
Rey Mysterio & Rob Van Dam v. Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki

They've put on a good string of *** matches, and that's probably enough to be match of the night on this show. For some reason, I see Dupree & Suzuki taking the belts back. The ONLY way that would have any redeeming value is if it led to an RVD heel-turn. However, WWE doesn't seem to want to turn the guy, so I say it'll just be booking that makes people scratch their heads.
WINNERS: Kenzo Suzuki & Rene Dupree

Handicap Match
Big Show v. Kurt Angle, Mark Jindrak, & Luther Reigns

When Big Show needs to carry a match you know it's bad. Jindrak & Luther are both, IMO, undeserving of this spot and Kurt Angle is in SERIOUSLY bad shape. Doesn't look pretty. I have no clue who'll win. I guess that if the plan is for Show v. JBL in February (with BARBED WIRE~!) then Show should go over here.
WINNER: Big Show

Charlie Haas as Referee
Jackie Gayda v. Dawn Marie

My lord, please keep this short. I guess Haas turns heel and goes off with Dawn.
WINNER: Dawn Marie

WWE Cruiserweight Title Match
Spike Dudley v. Funaki

Of all the cruiserweights they have on their roster, I honestly have no clue why Funaki was picked for this match. I could see WWE doing the upset win with Funaki getting the title. However, that would surely kill the thing dead, and who wants that? I'll go with my heart over my head.
WINNER: Spike Dudley

Dixie-Dogfight
Daniel Puder v. Mike Mizanin

Well, the new rules of 3 1-minute rounds saves Mizanin somewhat. I still don't think he has a hope in hell of winning this thing.
WINNER: Daniel Puder

That's only seven matches. I think they NEED to add at least one more to fill out three hours, but damned if I know what they'll add. They have plenty of potential cruiserweight matches that could salvage this show. But that's not really a WWE-thing to do, so who knows?

Man, this show just does not look appealing. Certainly not the worst show (on paper) of 2004, as I highly doubt this will top the utter crap that was Great American Bash. However, it's not looking too promising.

At the start you said it was the most anticipated then you said at the end theres apathy? I am confused.

Anyway back on topic

Undertaker and to carry through to before WM21
Cena
RVD and Mysterio...I said they would win before the match because IMO people will now tune in for the RVD and Rey Rey connection ,hoping there isnt a switchback
I actually think the alliance will win..
Jackie/Dawn .. does yawn rhyme with Dawn? Who cares as long as I see gash
Spike HAS been quiet and I feel there is something happening with the other Dudleys so yes a title change

Consideirng Carlito and Jesus are both limited in their use and building Carlito to maybe getting in the ring around Wrestlemania is kinda of a waiste. I know everyone loves Carlito's Cool gimmick, but in a year's time it will be as played out as the New Age Outlaws. Cena is starting to change is gimmick around to be less rapper and more kid from the streets. I don't see much in Carlito and I don't care for his father at all, so if he fails, it would be fine be me. He won't though, because Puerto Rico's New Years PPV sold out and thats Carlito's father's territory, so we will be seeing him around a long time. I just don't see Jesus lasting longer than Wrestlemania.

Carlito has more natural charisma than all of the lugs they've brought up this year, combined. He's got a great persona that could easily jump the fence from heel to face at any point in the future, and he may well turn out to be very good worker. The signs were certainly there in the few televised matches he had before the injury. And how can you say "in a year's time his gimmick will be played out"? He's been on TV all of two months and only wrestled for one of those. God, it's not like we're talking about Mordecai here, give the guy a chance.

Puder v.s The Miz: The Miz will win, I don't know how, I don't know why, but The Miz will win, plain and simple.

Dawn v.s Jackie: Dawn Marie thanks to help by Charlie Haas.

Big Show v.s Reigns, Jindrak and Angle: Big Show

Funaki v.s Spike: Funaki

Rey/RVD v.s Rene/Kenzo: RVD&Rey

Cena v.s Jesus: Cena gets his revenge, but he ain't done with Carlito.

JBL v.s Eddy v.s Booker v.s 'Taker: Booker T is who I want to win, but JBL will win once again, continuing the worst championship reign in WWE History!

Fatal Four-Way for the WWE Championship:
John Layfield [C; 5-3 in 2004] vs. Eddie Guerrero [5-3 in 2004] vs. Booker T [1-6 in 2004] vs. The Undertaker [4-2 in 2004]
PICK: JBL will lose the title. Undertaker WILL defend it at WrestleMania 21. There's 2 PPVs with Smackdown folks between now and then. Booker T wins.

One Fall for WWE Tag Team Championship:
Rey Mysterio [C; 3-5 in 2004] & Rob Van Dam [C; 3-3 in 2004] vs. Kenzo Suzuki [2-0 in 2004] & Rene Dupree [1-4 in 2004]
PICK: RVD & Mysterio.

One Fall, 3-on-1 Handicap Match:
The Big Show [2-3 in 2004] vs. Kurt Angle [2-4 in 2004], Luther Reigns [1-2 in 2004] & Mark Jindrak [0-2 in 2004]
PICK: Reigns & Jindrak will be non-factors. So, it's Angle/Show really. I pick Big Show.

Streetfight for United States Championship:
John Cena [C; 6-2 in 2004] vs. Jesus [Debut]
PICK: Cena. Why the hell not?

One Fall for Cruiserweight Championship:
Spike Dudley [C; 3-1 in 2004] vs. Funaki [0-1 in 2004]
PICK: Funaki.

Womenfolk Match, Charlie Haas Referee:
Miss Jackie [1-1 in 2004] vs. Dawn Marie [0-2 in 2004]
PICK: Dawn Marie via Haas "accidentally" knocking Jackie out/down.

Tough Enough Match:
Dan Puder [Debut] vs. Mike Mizanin [Debut]
PICK: Puder, by frighteningly quick KO.

To PerthHeat:

I don't mean to speak for my fellow Slasher, but apparently sarcasm doesn't travel as well over the Internet. He was joking about the first part, as we all know that this card is looking quite pitiful on paper. And with football and other shows on, I can see this getting even less of a buyrate than any other WWE PPV this year (I'm working tonight, but I wouldn't even spend $9.95 to see this show).

Anyways:

JBL retains
Big Show wins
RVD/Rey retain
Spike retains
Cena wins
Dawn Marie wins
Puder wins (although I dig "The Miz")

Well, the Sunday Night Heat match was announced as Paul London & Chavo Guerrero v. Billy Kidman & Akio. With only 7 matches on the card, why not just add this to the PPV? Now, the match with the best chance to be match of the night is on the pre-show.
