Fast food is gross as it is, and piling more onto the bun really doesn't seem like it'll make it better to me.
Have you eaten a Hardee's thickburger recently? These things are really good. Not what I'd consider your typical fast-food fare.
Oh and that Good Morning Burger? That sounds awesome. I think I just had a heart-attack thinking about it.

Oh you did not just hate on the Wild Mountain burger. Tell me you didn't. That thing is some taste joy. Normally I'll pop by Wendy's once or twice a month, but now that they brought the WM bacon burger back...well, let's just say they get mail for me there now. | DsTEviLSCA

Well, don't get me wrong, I do indeed order the Wild Mountain Chicken probably two out of three times I hit Wendy's these days, I'm just getting a bit frustrated that we're coming up on five freakin' years of no Monterey Ranch Chicken at this point, and the Wild Mountain was just there like, last year or so. Yeah, the Wild Mountain is a big step up from the traditional Spicy Chicken, it's just that seeing it come back instead of my own favorite is a bit like getting kicked in the teeth, especially with those radio commercials with "demands" from people to bring back the WM.
Yeah, I'm getting bitter and resentful over fast food now. Pathetic I know, but no one's gonna die over the Great Monterey Ranch/Wild Mountain Wars.
Back on the Monster Burger topic, I had another one yesterday. I ate it in front of a friend, and the mere sight of the thing made him spontaneously hungry enough to depart to go get one. | Mr Heel II

Maybe Jack in the Box could do that in a spin of their Ultimate Breakfast sandwich. | Jaguar

Mmmmm... I think I'll go have a fried egg sandwich now.

It was delicious. The entire medium combo took me no more than 10 minutes. It was that good.
I was talking to a friend about it and she told me there's no way I could have eaten such a thing. She clearly doesn't know my history with food.
So, I did what any man would do after having his manhood challenged, and I bought two (just the burgers, no combos) and ate them in the same sitting. That, my friends, was a mistake. They were delicious going down, but oh man, I couldn't eat solid food for the next couple of days, and everytime I burped for the following 36 hours, I could taste them. I'm not positive the Monster Thickburgers caused my sickness, but really, would anybody be surprised if they did?

I'm standing in Wendy's last night about to order a Big Bacon Classic, then I remember this post and get the Wild Mountain (had never tried it) instead. It was OK, but I wouldn't mind the Monterey Ranch Chicken coming back at its expense. | pieman

Nah. It was more like, "hey, I've heard those Wild Mountains are TASTY BURGERS. I think I'll try one."
I'm not ashamed* to admit that I've tried a few sodas that I might not have otherwise without hearing about them here.

Really though, I haven't eaten at Wendy's since Hardee's started making Curly Fries. Wendy's was the best place for a burger (again replaced by the new Hardees) but always the last last LAST place I'd go for decent french fries. | vsp

| #33 Posted on 22.12.04 0818.27 Reposted on: 22.12.11 0819.54 | I've weaned myself away from fast-food burgers for the most part, but I will hit Cheeburger Cheeburger fairly often. Their big burger is a pound AFTER cooking (20 ounces before), and I have it on fairly good authority (a guy who worked there) that the patties are fresh-made and the meat is decent ground chuck.
We have no Hardee's near here any more, so I'm safe from the evil allure of the Thickburger for now. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
