The Brawl for All match at WM 15 (I belive it was 15) between Butterbean and Bart Gunn was the last legit scheduled shoot fight in WWE that I'm aware of.
Of course, this doesn't count for all the times Hardcore Holly gets in the ring.

In the face of the overwhelming talent and star potential of nobody else in the entire contest.
Puder is clearly the only guy amounting to almost anything, mostly in that he's actually quite over, horrendous promos aside (not that anyone should be expected to be a great promo after 8 weeks in the business). If Puder had Mizanin's speaking comfortability he'd be the total package -- for winning a Tough Enough contest, I mean, not for being a star pro wrestler.
Puder vs. Mizanin would be really fun to watch, although people would also mark out for Puder destroying a huge guy. If only that guy was Rodimer````.
The only remotely good thing to come from this entire contest is that it got the Bashams a good spot and maybe saved their jobs.

Puder vs. Miz would be fun to watch just to see Miz get clobbered but Smith would be a better opponent from an fight perspective. | Net Hack Slasher

Did you also get the impression that if any Tough Enough guys got the flag in that capture the flag game vs. the Bashams that they would have been on that list of releases, I remembered that game happened on the weak of all those releases... That was the only time that the TE segments were remotely interesting. I'm in the same boat as Pimpstress I just don't care for any of these guys & flip the channel everytime they come out to talk. I haven't sat through one promo/speaking segment of them & more times than not I change the channel for their "challenges". They are one of the reasons I've been missing SD more these days.
I can't believe I can even say this but week in, week out I find this worse than divasearch was. Not by much but I do think it's worse. | thecubsfan

It was at least a week after the main firings, because it was sorta surprising they were doing a breakup angle on Velocity that they could possibly not finish. (And they didn't!)
I don't think they would've cut them with a loss, but I do think they would've broken up the team - maybe even done the breakup angle right then - and I can't imagine any more than a half hearted effort on the part of the writers to make a Basham/Basham feud intersting to the non-OVW audience.
They wouldn't have been done, but they probably would've just been stuck in the Val Venis limbo; win a bunch on Heat, lose on RAW once a month, get no real chances to do more than that, and be a really obvious target next time someone decides to make cuts on a whim. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
