Who'da thunkit?!

*Edit* Rereading the first paragraph of the news article, I see that I was merely ignorant of the bankruptcy. However, since the assets are being auctioned off, I think it's fair to say that Acclaim is done for.

...and a search to Acclaim's website shows a DNS error.

I liked their earlier stuff...I have good memories of their WWF titles on the SNES.

And of course...they brought us MK for the home consoles.

Maybe they can do an SNK and rise up from the ashes and start anew?

Too bad for their employees and all that, but I can't imagine this being much of a loss to anyone else. As mismanaged as Interplay was, at least they had some key franchises to brag about. All I really remember about Accliam was how much I hated the Attitude engine.

I swear I must be the only person that liked that engine.

Funny, I didn't mind those engines; I didn't care at all for the button mashing from the NES/SNES/Genesis and 32X WWF games.

That is, until I eventually bought a turbo controller :-D

Nahhh.... I liked it too. I broke out the old ECW games just for the hell of it and I had forgotten just how much fun they were.

I was working a job that I absolutely HATED when those games came out, so I created a couple of CAW's out of my bosses. Nothing like working a 19 hour day, going home, and whipping your assclown of a boss into barbed wire for an hour and a half.

God, I hated that job.
