| #2 Posted on 24.11.04 0955.51 Reposted on: 24.11.11 0956.01 | Looks really good, but there are some noticeable omissions from his WWE career, such as the RVD v. Eddie Guerrero ladder match (this was just put on the Guerrero DVD, though, so that may be why it's left out here), RVD v. Jericho from Unforgiven 2001, and RVD v. Chris Benoit from a July 2002 RAW in Greensboro, which are some of his best matches since coming to Titan. Throw in the RVD v. Austin match from a September 2001 SmackDown where Van Dam wins just to round out the disc.
Still, it looks like a great set.

Props to them for the two RVD-Sabu matches from 1996, which were some of the better pre-Mr. Monday Night stuff from RVD. | CANADIAN BULLDOG

I do agree, though, that there should be something in there from the Austin-Angle-RVD program (perhaps their triple-threat at the PPV?), just to show what kind of an impact they could have had in WWE.
But what's done is done. If that's the lineup, that's tremendous.
Now if I could only get my hands on the ECW DVD here in Canada already.... | A Fan

I was at the Unforgiven match in 2001, it was the best match of the night, plus it was a a whole lot better than the Jericho KOTR match. I would have put in his three way at No Mercy since its the only match he main evented at a PPV minus the elemination chamber. It looks like WWE will be getting more of my money good thing, I opted out of the Taboo Tuesday DVD. | MARTYEWR

I haven't checked, Bulldog, but it's supposed to be here already. According to SLAM!, they said the Canadian release date is the same as the U.S. | geemoney

It isn't. At least in Toronto. I checked five stores last night that are usually among the first to carry WWE DVD's, and they said they didn't have a release date yet. That said, I hope you're right.... | Deputy Marshall

I always had a soft spot for Xanta Claus' ECW run, as in my opinion he was one of the handful of big men that were entertaining to watch. That particular TV title match was a lot of fun. | oldschoolhero

It was really dull, slow and spotty, and showed off both mens' weaknesses in the worst possible way. It was also a really poorly-excuted hotshot angle at the end of an otherwise awesome show, which kind of left a sour taste in my mouth. I can't for the life of me figure out why they put it in this set. | JST

That RVD/Jericho match is really good...just ask Y2J. But don't tell him you're an "internet fan." | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
