For what looks like a bad summer movie cast-aside, there was far more plot then I could give a Bruckheimer film credit for. Nic Cage even looked like he was enjoying himself instead of just collecting a paycheck like with his past few films. Someone really put a good effort in this film.
I'd almost compare it to THE GOONIES, but for a slightly more mature audience. | Promote this thread! | | Sec19Row53

How mature? My 9 year old wants to see it, and if it gets me out of seeing Polar Express, I'm all for it. | pieman

I was thinking about going to see National Treasure until I saw Cage on Letterman. He was dressed in all leather with a white tank top. I didn't need to see that before I went to bed. | geemoney

I only meant more mature, in that there was more plot to keep up with. There wasn't any over blown violence or language or anything like that. In fact, I don't even recall any harsh language or blood in the whole film.
This was probably the best action film I've seen for a younger audience in a long time. | The Vile1

I find the trailers for it pretty disturbing. If I was a kid and I woke up with that freakish mannequin-lookin' thing telling me to get on a big weird train, I'd run for the hills. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
