the New Years Revolution poster features Batista & Randy Orton.
Assuming the rumors about Randy choosing Batista to go agaisnt HHH for the title on RAW when Orton is GM, do you think Batista will turn on HHH setting up a PPV match or do you think Batista will stay with HHH and lead to a PPV match with Orton?

Batista should be getting Orton's push. More Batista = More interest in RAW for me so I hope its true.

PPV posters don't mean a thing when it comes to predicting what happens on those shows.

Exhibit A: "Watch The Big Show climb over seven other superstars to become King of the Ring (1999)". Show was a total non-factor.

Exhibit B: Next to a picture of the Undertaker on the Armageddon 2000 poster, "Lord I'm coming home to you". Contrary to all the 'confirmed' speculation, UT did not revert back to the Deadman character. Instead, the show was just in Alabama.

Exhibit C: Triple H is the focus of the Vengeance 2001 poster. He did not return for another month.

These things are pictures of random guys, nothing more nothing less.

The concept of PPV posters is much like movie posters: Get you interested in spending money on them. Oftentimes they have little or nothing to do with the final product...they're just to stimulate interest.

Just to add to the Vengeance 2001 poster, they had anticiapted a Triple H return for that show because the promotion is planned months in advance and they thought that Trips could make it back in time but he needed another few weeks, but yeah I agree posters don't mean much.

I'm enjoying Orton's push on a certain level, but I gotta echo these sentiments. Batista makes me all fuzzy and happy. MORE DAVE.

Batista is definitely getting there. He's just not going to be shoved down our throats like Orton is right now. Which is, of course, always the preferable way to push someone.

Regarding the posters, they're often done so many months in advance, that they're not entirely sure whether said talent will even APPEAR on the card, let alone main event it.

I think if you're going to do the monster push/shove a guy down people's throats that it's better to do it with a big man then a normal guy.

Big Dave has improved tremendously in the past year. A year ago he was just your generic bad big man. Now he's learned how to show intensity in the ring and actually be a believeable monster instead of just a guy with a great look.

Also, his interview on The LAW a few weeks back made me a bigger fan because he sounded like a guy that wants to be great and wants to work hard at the wrestling aspect whereas some guys you can tell think they're the shit just because of the way they look.

I keep seeing hype for this poster, and supposed links to the pic, but all the addresses just "track" some reporter. Anyone have the actual pic?

BTW...about 2,000 stayed over night at the stadium waiting for the box office to open. Ringside (@ $200 per seat) sold out in 10 minutes, Arena (@ $90 per seat) sold out about 15 mins. after that. Overall almost a complete sell out (11-12 thousand seats) in about 6 hours, only a few Gen. Admission and low visibility seats left. So already, that PPV is gonna be a success monetarily for the WWE. Let's see what they will bring to the table in Jan.

They should really switch the title to Jericho during his week as GM, so that they can book Jericho Vs. Benoit or whatever as a sub-ME. All they need to do is have him drop the strap back to Hunter at the Rumble to right the boat again in time for Mania.

Is your WWE TV up-to-date or does it lag behind a few weeks like in some countries?

I'm just thinking that could have an effect on how they book the show. Like if the TV lags behind and they do an angle a week or two before to setup Batista against Triple H, no one in the audience would know how to react.

Everything is up to date...Spike Monday's, UPN is not on San Juan's Cable service for Smackdown fans but many across the island receive it via dish or other cable companies. Also local channel WAPA, which is the channel of WWC is now carrying (that weeks) Smackdown Sunday nights for those who don't get UPN. Although, i do worry that the crowd will just cheer for the main eventers only, no matter if face or heel, and be very silent for the mid carders.

Agreed. Jericho + World Title = Happy me

He deserves it, even if it is only as a transitional champ. Just as long as they don't book him like last time.
