| #1 Posted on 18.11.04 1234.26 Reposted on: 18.11.11 1235.08 | Disney's ordered 20 or so episodes of an animated series based on THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE. It'll be called THE EMPEROR'S NEW SKOOL, bringing the characters into an Incan public school, and the Emperor has to graduate in order to reclaim his thrown. Yzma and Kronk will be the 'school bullies'. Well... it COULD be worse.
Disney is also overseeing the 13th season of Power Rangers, called POWER RANGERS: SPACE PATROL DELTA.
ALIAS will be moved to Wednesdays, come January, due to ABC refusing to move DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, like they were supposed to. Instead, ALIAS will move to 9pm Wednesdays after LOST, in hopes of bumping ALIAS's ratings.
George Clooney and Stephen Soderbergh find God... or at least his writings, when FX Network begins showing their ten hour series titled THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. This sries will have a different writer/director do a one hour episode dealing with one commandment. Sounds interesting.
The WB has backed out of GLOBAL FREQUENCY, a new series based on the comic book written by Warren Ellis. WB's official word is that it '...is not the type of show that fits into where the network is going." They are allowing the producers to shop the show elsewhere.
STARGATE SG-1 and ATLANTIS have both been picked up for another season. SG-1 is now tied with THE X-FILES as the longest running sci-fi show.
Want to know what $26 million dollars in crap looks like. That's what the 13 episodes of FATHER OF THE PRIDE cost to make. That's also all we're getting of it. The remaining 6 episodes will air in December... AFTER sweeps.
...oh yeah, SIX FEET UNDER is cancelled after the fifth season. Sorry, I never could get into the series so I don't really care if it's cancelled or not. Promote this thread! | | odessasteps

That Soderbergh thing is very reminiscient of, I think, the Decalogue. I know there was some movie series taht also was about the commandments, one by one. | PeterStork

Siegfried and Roy themselves were hilarious, with their Michael Jackson soundalike entrance theme and their wild, misguided escapades to places like the 7-11 ("Ah! I want the Ah!" "Then you shall get it! Thunder! Lighting!" *two Segways speed onto screen, I fall over laughing*) Too bad the main plot with Goodman, et al always sucked hardcore.
If it were cheaper, I'd give it more time. But it's not cheap. So long live Scrubs in its new and improved time slot.

Lost is getting great ratings, and if it can't hold them, ABC will no longer have the "bad time slot" excuse. The only plus is that it can't do any worse than the Bachelor is doing (at least I hope it can't do worse than the Bachelor). I won't watch it (the show was never one of my things), but I'd much rather scripted shows do better than reality shows these days. | Brian P. Dermody

Edit: Two is plural
