SAN DIEGO (Ticker) - Instead of cashing in on offers to play in Europe, Curtis Brown has decided to help promote the game of hockey in California.
Brown on Monday agreed to terms with the San Diego Gulls of the ECHL and could see action in the team's game against the Bakersfield Condors on Wednesday.

I'm also interested to see how much farther they can grow, with a 33-team league on the horizon. | StaggerLee

Sorta dumb to have them be ECHL, with no explanation as to what it stands for. Sorta like the WWE, if anybody were to say "I AM WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT CHAMPION" he would sound like a moron. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
