Earl Boykins had a career-high 32 points to become the smallest player in league history to eclipse 30 points, doing most of his damage after dislocating his middle finger and putting back in place himself in the first quarter.
....
But that proved to be the Pistons' last gasp. White followed with a 3-pointer, Boykins hit a jumper and Anthony added two free throws after the 5-foot-5 Boykins sneaked in for an offensive rebound, putting the Nuggets up 109-101 with 1:12 left. ---------------------- I watched this game and saw that play where Boykins grabbed a board with Tayshaun Prince, Elden Campbell AND Antonio McDyess around him. Congratulations to Earl Boykins for becoming the smallest player in NBA history to score 30+ points in a game. I'm actually somewhat surprised that Muggsy Bogues didn't own this record; he was tremendously popular, and while I was in middle school it seemed one out of five students had one of his jerseys. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
