He did have a flaming table tag team match one time with Balls Mahoney v Da Baldies and at the time I thought it was pretty cool. I would be really surprised if he isn't on Raw or Smackdown doing a patriotic gimmick by the summer. Good Luck to him as it is a really good story.

... of course if he doesn't get the flag waving gimmick, you have a poor man's D-Von Dudley.

This was even a cheaper pop than Foley used to do simply by announcing how the fans of (hometown) deserved to see something good, or the Rock's "Finally the Rock has come back to ... (hometown)" I hope he gets to uses it, but only if he isn't always OVW...
I'll agree he's got a good enough story, I hope he does well. I think he'll be able to pop the crowd, but I fear he'll look tiny compared to the rest of the roster.. | The Mighty Mopdecai

Yep, that's the guy. It was a fun little gimmick for a curtain-jerker (which is primarily what he was used as in ECW), but not for a regular on the WWE roster (even though they did something similar with Brian "Spanky" Kendrick when he was working dark matches). Hell, they have enough one-note joke gimmicks in that promotion as it is.
I was never terribly impressed with his in-ring stuff during his ECW tenure (I'd go so far to say that he had a very bland in-ring style), but that was years ago. It's certainly a possibility he's improved since then.

They also did this with Kendrick when he was on Velocity starting out. Yup back when I watched Velocity... Norman Smiley had a gimmick like that also in WCW when he came out with local team jersey's and even dressed up as the local team mascot. | drjayphd

What about CW Anderson? He's quite bland. Hell, they could resign Barry Horowitz!

But CW does a spinebuster, so he'd automatically be a main eventer.
Plus, he obviously displays "shades of Arn Anderson" so they'll be high on him.
