| #1 Posted on 8.11.04 1307.40 Reposted on: 8.11.11 1314.50 | Here are the Week 9 the playoff seedings. Tiebreakers only done for the top 10 teams in each conference. The bottom six for each conference is not in any order, other than record, then conference record. Doing detailed tie-breakers at this point in the season would be silly.
I have added how many games back the bottom 10 teams are from the last wild card slot.

The Rams have not played the Lions nor Packers. The Lions beat the Packers, so the Pac are eliminated.
Tie-breaker #2 is best winning % in the conference. The Rams 4-2 beats the Lions 3-4

EDIT - Yep, you were right, even after I said otherwise for a second time.

That's disappointing. Whatever happened to parity? Well, as long as the Ravens move up from number 7, I'll be a happy camper. | JayJayDean

Plus according to NFL.com, when there are three teams tied and two of those teams share a division, you do the division tiebreaker to pare those teams down to one before you start breaking ties among teams who don't share the same division. In other words...
RANKING THE 9-14 NFC TEAMS:
DIVISION TIEBREAKERS NFC EAST: Dallas > Washington (9/27 - DAL 21, WAS 18) NFC SOUTH: Tampa Bay > New Orleans (10/10 - TB 20, NO 17)
SEEDS 9-12: Dallas, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Arizona SEEDS 13-14: New Orleans, Washington
9. DALLAS (NFC win pct. = .400, Strength of victory = .417) 10. TAMPA BAY (NFC win pct. = .400, Strength of victory = .375) 11. ARIZONA (NFC win pct. = .400, Strength of victory = .360) 12. CHICAGO (NFC win pct. = .375) ------------------------------------------------------------ 13. WASHINGTON (NFC win pct. = .500) 14. NEW ORLEANS (NFC win pct. = .333) | Net Hack Slasher

Well. I just fucked this one up. I was thinking of Chicago...
Well, it's now updated through MNF, and I added yours and JJD's corrections.
Also from ESPN.COM: With the Dolphins off to the worst start in their 39-year history, Dave Wannstedt will resign Tuesday, the Miami Herald reported. Defensive coordinator Jim Bates is expected to be named interim head coach.

Michael Strahan, Byron Leftwich, Chad Pennington will all be out for at least a few weeks, just to name a few off the top of my head. For the Browns, they loast OL Kelvin Garmon for the rest of the year (knee) and special teamer / backup DB Leigh Bodden for the rest of the year (torn pectoral muscle). | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
